Issue121 (629word,45mins)
"At various times in the geological past, many species have become extinct as a result of natural, rather than human, processes. Thus, there is no justification for society to make extraordinary efforts, especially at a great cost in money and jobs, to save endangered species."
When we debate on the issue that whether we should invest in the protection of those extinctive species, there are two sides with complete opposite opinions and holding apparent persuasive reasons. One side persists that because many species become extinct as a result of natural, power, our human beings do not assume the responsibility to save them from the edge of extinction. The other side insists that the behaviors of human have more or less influenced the living conditions of other species, as a result, we should spare no effort to protect them. Through careful analysis and comparison, I hold the opinion that we should invest in去掉 moderate money and efforts to save endangered species.
First of all, with the process of modernization and industrialization, the environment which consists a basic living condition of other species has been polluted dramatically. More and more wild lands being turned into industrial lands, more factories are built and more business areas are established. The space remained for other species becomes smaller and smaller. Meanwhile, previously, we paid little attention to the protection of environment: rubbish is not well dealt with, poison gas was emitted directly to the air, polluted water was pooled into the river regardless of the negative impacts...All of these actions set some species in danger, for they may not be adaptable in the same step. If we contribute this unsuitable reaction to Darwin’s evolution theory, it is unfair!这个。...语气会不会太主观了 Admittedly, our human beings are the masters of the earth, yet, how can we evade the responsibility to protect other species in the circumstance. It is our mistaken that generates the extinction. If we would not have changed the living conditions so irrationally and in a short sight, the so-called "natural selection" according to Darwinism would not take place!
Secondly, it is our infinite desires that put those species in danger, because we disturb the balance of the whole ecosystem. In some countries, local citizens still feed on some distinctive mammal. What is worse, some citizens compete with each others on the number of mammals they eat per year to show off their wealth. It is so fierce a behavior. Although the above instance may be too extreme, there are many other common cases in our daily life, which have been neglected sometimes. For a specific instance, we feed on fish in the sea. And some kinds of fish are also the foods of the extinctive animals. Common sense tell us when the resource is not sufficient, competition will come into being. Then, who will be the winner eventually, human or extinctive animals? Definitely, the winner would be human for we are the most "intelligent" animals who make good use of tools in the world.
Last but not least这里并不能算是直接继承上文观点谈下来,用个带有转折意思的连接词更合适吧, limited by finance, we should invest a moderate amount of money in it, and place more crucial and emergent issues in the first place. There are many other issues such as starvation, crime, social security etc. that are more emergent and require rapid action. If we do not solve these problems, the function of the society would be in danger, and the well-being of ourselves will be threaten accordingly. If we have enough financial support, we can solve all crucial and less crucial problems at the same time. Unfortunately, the limited financial resources force us to give up less emergent stuff temporarily. However, it does not mean we will not pay any attention and effort to protect extinctive species, instead, we would spent moderate money on the subjects.
In summary, we should assume the responsibility to protect the endangered species. But we may not invest most of our resource and energy to this subject. What is more important is that we should strike a balance between endangered species and more crucial social problems.
总体来说观点明确,文笔很流畅,基本挑不出什么毛病.但是在题目中有这样的陈述At various times in the geological past, many species have become extinct as a result of natural, rather than human, processes..是不是要加以分析一下比较好呢. |
