Yes, essential interconnectedness of human beings is helpful for reducing wars and many conflicts between nations, and is necessary to be taught. In addition, various cultures are also indispensable to increase understanding between each other, and thus help people try to avoid conflicts. However, neither of them will let us ultimately eliminate these conflicts for not all of them are caused by culture differences and misunderstanding.

There are always something common in people, and with the development of science and technology, interconnectedness between people is increasingly important. Knowing that we have much commonness can help us cooperate with each other for some same aims, instead of trying to prevent each other's development. Knowing that we are interconnected in many aspects like environment, economics, and science and technology, we will be inclined to help each other in those fields and contribute together for a better world. Otherwise, if we don't know what we do will eventually influence our own interests, we may just try to get the most profits from what we are doing without considering other people's interests. For example, unlimited release of carbon dioxide will lead to the global warming of the earth, which will in turn do harm to the agriculture of every country on earth. Therefore, it is quite necessary for schools to teach this essential interconnectedness of all human beings, which is helpful for people to realize that they have many common interests besides great culture differences.

However, ignoring the importance of teaching various cultures will result in misunderstanding between people, even hatred toward each other, which are the origin of many conflicts like war. So many clashes and conflicts in our history have been resulted from misunderstanding. If we lack of the knowledge of each other's culture, then we will mistake some good will for offence. A good example is that in western culture, it is appropriate to praise a woman's beauty, yet in some oriental cultures, it is considered flirtation. If we know in advance the culture and traditions of a nation, then we will avoid doing something offensive in their eyes. Therefore, a good knowledge of the differences between cultures is helpful for people to prevent culture conflicts.

In addition, many conflicts are not caused just by culture differences or the lack of recognition that human beings are interconnected in many aspects, and therefore, it is impossible to eliminate these conflicts through these ways. For example, many conflicts are caused by economic problems between developed countries and poor countries, which can't be resolved only through mutual understanding. Their settlement may need many other kinds of efforts from these countries involved together.

In sum, the idea that teaching the essential interconnectedness of all human beings in schools is a good idea and is helpful for reducing wars, cultural clashes and many other conflicts; however, it is not enough for people to ultimately eliminate all them. Teaching different cultures is indispensable and other methods are also necessary to prevent wars and conflicts.(465)
