------题目------
Money spent on research is almost always a good investment, even when the results of that research are controversial.
------正文------
Scholar and scientific studies are extremely important, as they provide individuals, organizations, and society with discoveries, inventions, and following financial profits. However it is too idealistic and optimistic to claim that money spent on research is almost always a good investment, because a good investment, which means great benefits with few problems, requires careful evaluation of social background, the conductors' working abilities, and the operating processes.
First of all, money spent on research cannot be well invested without detailed observation of social status. The research is not likely to produce profits immediately and efficiently when it has nothing to do with the requirement of individuals, organizations, or society, because people cannot make use of the results of the research with has cost a large amount of money. On the other hand, the research cannot exceed the affordability of its conductors and society, otherwise it will induce severe problems. Other studies cannot be operated smoothly, and their following profits will be reduced. The ordinary life of individuals, management of organizations, and stability of society will be threatened. As a result, only when the research fits the social background, at least the related requirement and affordability, money spent on it can become a good investment.
Besides, the money spent on research cannot be well invested without appropriate conductors with relevant abilities. It cannot be expected that economic studies carried out by artists with little economic knowledge will reach high profits. Different studies demand different experts and workers, as well as the number of them. An easy study does not need a huge work team, otherwise money will be wasted on the complex management of that large organization. A difficult study cannot be conducted without a relatively large work team, which can ensure the progress of that study. Therefore, only when the research is carried out by an appropriate number of appropriate experts and workers, money spent on it can become a good investment.
Furthermore, the money spent on research cannot be well invested without a careful plan of the operating processes. The research should be finished on time with expected results, or the money spent on it cannot reach high profits. Each step of the research should operate smoothly, so as to avoid unnecessary problems. Thus an excellent plan is extremely essential, and only when the operating processes of the research is well planned, money spent on it can become a good investment.
In conclusion, not all money spent on research can become a good investment. In order to produce great profits with few problems, the research must fit social requirement and related affordability, and has to be conducted by an appropriate work team with well planned operating processes. |
