  Can young people teach older people? Somebody disagree with this statement in that older people have lived much longer than young ones, therefore they should know more than youngsters, while agree ones believe that it is not the age which decides one’s knowledge construction. As far as I concern, I prefer to agree with it.

  First of all, elders and youngsters have different knowledge constructions, so we cannot easily judge who know more only by their age. In fact, there are many aspects of reason can affect one’s knowledge store such as interest or the circumstance they brought up and so on. For example, most young people get used to know the world outside by surfing the internet while elders prefer relying on the television. But the news on the internet are generally updated faster than the news broadcast on TV. Besides, there is also the newest content made by all walks of life on the websites, which would make the news much closer to the truth. Most of these may be caught by the youngsters who always hang there on the internet rather than the elder couch potatoes. In this word, younger ones know more than the older ones to some extent.

  What’s more, there goes without denying that older ones accumulate much more life experiences than youngsters during their life time. But some of these experiences are got from the old time that it doesn’t suitable to the modern life, besides, the civilization is developing continuously and the new things are coming out all the time. Generally, Because of the memory power and study capacity’s decreasing, it takes elder ones much more time to get used to these new born things, while it is easier for younger ones to handle them. In this area, younger ones can teach elders. Meanwhile, when youngsters are babies, their parents and elder relatives enlightened their intelligence. Therefore, youngsters and elders can teach each other in different aspects instead of only elders teach the youngsters.

  To sum up, elders can teach youngsters as well as young people can teach the elder ones, there is no decided teacher and student relationship between elders and youngsters. Just like a sentence said by the Chinese famous philosophy Confucius of Chunqiu Dynasty: The only difference between teachers and students are their sequence of getting knowledge and their different research fields.

我觉得楼主的第一个论点写得很好，但是第二个稍微有点绕，我读不出里面的重点，就是说我觉得论点不清晰呢，好像是说是经历，又好像是在说脑容量。
