Young people have no influence on important decisions that determine the future of society as a whole.

I don't agree with this statement. Although compared with older people, young people appear less frequently in important political and economic occasions, their creative ideas, leading life styles can altogether play a crucial role in deciding the future of society.

Above all, most creative and original ideas come from those young people. Without the creative ideas of those famous young in the past, this world would probably be another picture. Without the creative ideas of the present young people, the future of our world would be bleak and out of hopes and motivation. Just think of one or two examples among numerous extraordinary young figures. Bill Gates, for instance, is a well-known computer programmer and the manager of the Microsoft. We should never forget that when he first created the trade name "Microsoft" with another young person Allen, he was just 21 years old. Thanks to his talents in computer programming, the future of the computer sector as well as all kinds of other professions all around the world has changed. Another example is also a computer geek, Mark Zuckerberg, who founded the famous Facebook with other young men in Harvard. And it is worth mentioning that when this potential leading social network was first founded, Mark was just 20 years old. Without his creative ideas, it is just hard to imagine that such a communication tool with diverse functions can be so popular today. Thus, young people's creative ideas propel the society forward and have irreplaceable influence on the future of the society.

Besides, young people lead the life style of the whole society. Just consider us Chinese young people and our influence on the whole Chinese society. In the perspective of most young people in China, as to the problem about how many children they are going to have, the answer would probably be one or two on most occasions. Even if corresponding policies permit them to have more children, the tendency is that they would maintain their choices. The reason is that their thinking modes changes and they want a more free and relaxed life style. This kind of life style definitely would have much effect on the future policy and the structure of the society. Furthermore, another conspicuous change of the young people in China is the consumption level and their attitude towards foreign culture. Nowadays young Chinese people tend to consume much more generously and become more tolerant of foreign diversities compared with years ago. And this trend would play a significant role in deciding the future development of Chinese society.

In conclusion, I think young people are the hopes of the society. Their creative ideas as well as leading life style both have much influence on important decisions that determine the future of the whole society. And we should be aware of this potential power to change the world and try to listen to them.

有很多词语这次都用错了……原来决定偷偷自己改一下的……没想到已经被改了……= =

the report published-->已经出版了的一份报告。
that引导的句子是修饰the report的同位语从句，是说一份怎样的报告呢？一份关于美国政府将航天飞机存放到博物馆的一份报告。而when后应该是接句子的，而你这里只有一个主语，也就是the report，所以缺少谓语。

If you need to discuss upsetting or controversial problems with others, will you use e-mail/text-messaging OR use telephone/voice-messaging?

If something upsetting or controversial needs to be discussed with others, I would choose to express my opinion in the means of text messaging or e-mail.

First, through text messaging or e-mail, it is convenient to use those words carrying the meaning of respect and acknowledgement, such as "Dear sir", "Sincerely", and so on, which give others an impression of understanding and equality. In this kind of atmosphere, an agreement and final satisfying solution are more likely expected to occur. While, compared with using text messaging and e-mail, through telephone or voice-messaging, it is just hard for any part in this controversy to make a compromise to voice out those formal words expressing respect. People just feel embarrassed and shy to speak out those formal respectful words. Hence, I tend to hold that through using those words which can express respect, text-messaging or email plays an instrumental role in disarming the tense atmosphere and creating a relatively harmonious environment for further discussion.

Besides, text messaging can also have positive effect on the revelation of the feeling and clear organization useful for the solution of the problem. When the two parts concerned are on a phone, they just can't help speaking out those offensive words to each other because they can't inhibit their fury or dissatisfaction even if they haven’t meant to be like that at the beginning. However, in text messaging or e-mail, people have opportunity to use those implicit expressions to express their strong feelings in a more acceptable way. And consequently, people are more likely to make their agreement finally based on this kind of relatively sincere attitude. In a word, it is more free to use implicit words without distorting their original meanings to use the email or text-messaging than using voice-messaging or telephone.

In sum, in such occasions as upsetting or controversial problems are discussed, the means of e-mail or text-messaging is better for both its convenience to use formal, respectful words and use those implicit words, which are of significance to further understanding and the final solution of the problem.
