    With the high speed of technology development in our world, new technology has deeply influcenced our society and our way of life. But in history, technologies did not develop in a consistent speed. And the influcence of technology to our world became severe in a gradual pace. We can discuss the issue presented by the statement from two directions: the past and now.
    In ancient time, technology did not take an important role in the world. And the development of technology was not in a high speed. So, technology could not influence people very much at that time. Social customs and ethics were influenced by some other issues like religion, convention, law and so on. And sometimes, the use of newly developed technologies were often thwarted by these issues. For example, religions often prevented people from doing some medical research on human body. And the scientists who proclaimed something that contradicts to those holy scriptures would be punished or even sentenced. Some convention and law also prevented some technology improvement. And even some great people had underestimated the use and verifiability of those new theories, skills or tools. With these factors, technologies could not influence much on social customs and ethics in ancient time.
    As time goes, many restrictions imposed on those great inventors and scientists have been broken. So, more and more new findings appeared in an amazing pace one by one. The most important event for technology development is industry revolution which happened in 1848. After this great notion change, people realized that technology could highly speed up their efficiency of work. And new technologies had helped our humankind fulfill more and more dreams. Technologies had even influenced human history itself. In the Second World War, the atom bomb which was invented by scientists terminated the war between America and Japan. And new information technology also helped American army decipher the Japanese code, which led American troops to the final victory. And technologies developed in an even higher pace after Second World War and Cold War. Because these new technologies had largely influenced the procession of history, the influence on our social customs and ethics were almost unfailing.
    Now, we even can not live without technology. We can see technological inventions at every corner of the world. The light and easily portable mobile phones have changed our way of communication. Computers on our office table help us tackle with many onerous works. And, even more, genetic technology begins to change our view of life, our ethics and even ourselves.
