It is better for students at university or in college to choose difficult classes even if they cannot get top grades.

Nowadays, as we are living in a competitive society, students must have a strong background and various working skills to prepare for a good job. Thus, when in college, students should have a multiple choice of classes, including difficult ones. Although they may not get top grades because of the difficulty, they will achieve other knowledge which cannot be taught in books. So i deem that it is quite necessary for students to choose difficult classes.

One thing obvious is that when learning difficult classes, if students meet some trouble dealing with problems, they have to find themselves a way out. That will benefit them to be strong and achieve the ability of conquering difficulties. For instance, once i chose a pure research class in economics, which was quite hard for me to work out. The professor arranged a series of thesis to us. I must prepare a great deal of information for the research on the current financial crisis. However, it was not easy to get the useful materials since at the beginning of the crisis, no one even the world famous economists could figure out how it happened. In order to get the credits, I had to finish the thesis at the end of the semester, so I often went to the library in the daytime and surf the Internet in the evening. Though it was really a tough work lasting a long time, finally I conducted a high-grade thesis. After that, I felt confident of myself that I can solve difficult problems as long as I work hard.

Plus, choosing difficult classes in college will lead students to a group in which there are a lot of top students willing to learn something real. It is studying that is the most important thing for a student to do. As we all know, difficult classes including basic mathematics, material physics, computer science, chemic-biology and other hard subjects. Maybe we will run away just after hearing the name. But in difficult subjects, students spend most of their time studying when they are students. When studying with them, we can learn a lot.

All in all, life is sort of a series of choices. If we only choose the simple ones, we will never see the other side of life. Not only do difficult classes benefit us to sell well in job markets but to experience the colorful life. As students, we should choose difficult classes as well as the easy ones. Thus, we will not regret when we grow old.
