Teachers should be paid mainly on the basis of the accomplishment of their job and researches in specific fields. Students’ performance just act as one important factor, which can be took into consideration as an index to decide the payment, because it reflects how much efforts teachers make. However, performance conducted by students cannot dominate wage utterly.

There is no universal standard to estimate students’ behavior. In other words, what is the definition of satisfactory performance? Some may appreciate the skills of practice which obtained from social activities, while others may focus on the quality of theory’s accumulation. Thus it will arouse controversy by assessing teachers’ abilities according to the performance of their students.


Besides, the action is under control of person’s subjective intention. For instant, some students may show preference for teachers who are humorous and good-tempered, so they are willing to attend classes energetically, study hard. Students, in most circumstances, dislike teachers who are not easygoing even more cold although they are erudite.Additionally, from the negative perspective, an unfair point in the mentioned-above way is that some particular teachers may ask their students to perform well in exchange for something they desire for, such as scholarship, recommendation.

If universities or schools pay attention to both teachers’ abilities in teaching and scientific research, they can find, in large degree, students’ deeds actually are the direct results of those factors. If a teacher has a firm foundation of professional knowledge and the capability of exploring in specific field, while accompanied with the excellent teaching skills, students can benefit a lot from what he/she teaches and then find expression in their own behaviors. Therefore, the management of school can view students’ action as an assistant but not absolute method.
