Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The next twenty years from now on, students will not use printed books any more. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.（08/04/07） 请于下周三(5月6日)晚十点前提交作业

If there is something that can replace the printed book's role, that would be the e-book. But in my opinion the e-book has some fatal disadvantages in its development. Although the science technology has been developed very quickly nowadays, I do not agree the idea that the printed book will not been used any more in 20 years because of the following aspects.

First, I think the e-book is not convenient at all. As we can not always bring a laptop when we go to class or go to resteraunt neither to a trip. It is too heavy if you carry the "little e-book" always on you shoulder. Besides, we can not looking the screen of e-book in a long time which is a motal factor compared with a printed book. Our eyes may feel uncomfortable even hurt when we take a long time on reading an e-book. In addition, when we use an e-book, it not convenient for us to write the necessary remark and notes as we used to do.

Another reason is that I think if the e-book takes the place of the the printed book, there would be a huge amount of cost on this replacement. Primarily, every student have to buy a laptop, this a not a small investment. Also we will cost more elecetronic source on the using.

Finally, I don't think most undeveloped area will eliminate the printed book. In the undeveloped area, they need to use money on many other essential aspects of the construction of  the society. Some people are busy earning their livelihood, some people are suffering from the poor social ensurance. To them, the printed book may be already a kind of hope, much less choosing books' kinds.

In general, I believe it won't happen that students will not use printed books any more in 20 years.
