1.18 You have decided to give several hours of your time each month to improve the community where you live. What is one thing you will do to improve your community? Why? Use specific reasons and details to explain your choice.

I love the community where I live. However there are always some weak points which are unsatisfying. Therefore as a resident here, I have decided to spend several hours each month to improve the community. And the most urgent problem for my community is its lacking of greening and afforestation.

The first thing I will be up to is to plant one or two trees in the community each month. Although there are already trees in the community, the number is far from enough. What's more, because of the strong sunshine here and the shortage of arbor of the trees, it is not pleasant and uncomfortable for us to take a walk or do morning exercise outside in the summer. When trees grow up, they will provide us cool and pleasant arbor. In addition, my community is located closed to a small industrial area which inevitably emits great amount of exhausted gas and exerts negative influence on the air quality of the community. So planting trees in the community can help to improve the air condition here and create a more suitable place for living.

The second thing about the greening of is to increase the area of the lawn in my community. Increasing the area of lawn can help beautify the neighborhood of the community, which also makes our community become ideal living place with enjoyable environment to maintain every resident's good mood. Not only for beautification of the environment, increasing the area of lawn also means offering more place for residents here to have a rest on the lawn and enjoy the charming scenery in our community.

The last thing I am going to take up about the greening is to participate in the propaganda of greening awareness. The power of individual is still quite weak after all and the improvement of the greening and afforestation in our community requires the endeavor of everyone. Therefore I will give several hours each month to take part in various activities to call for the greening awareness of the residents in my community.

To sum up, what the people in my community complain the most is the shortage of greening. And I will not only take action myself to improve this situation, but also encourage people around me to pay attention to the greening improvement.

And the most urgent problem for my community is its lacking of greening and afforestation (这句话貌似有点问题，比如说urgent感觉应该是人的态度，urgent problem for us to solve之类的要合适一些)
