An interesting survey conducted by an authoritative organization shows that the majority of your friends, who are just passing trvellers in your life, have zero impact on you. While, the minority of your friends, more often than not are intelligent people, produce favorable influence on you. Therefore, in my opinion, making friends with clever people is superior than with people having a good sense of humor.

It must be admitted that acquainting friends with a good sense of humor could bring a lot of fun to us, which help us to relax and relieve us from the burdensome daily life. However, if one comtemplates their roles in our life, it is not hard for him to find out that humourous friends offer few meaningful and direct solution to our serious problems that inflict us heavily. The main benefit of consuming time with them is to provide us with amusement and tedious recreations. What is even worse, some so-called humourous friend is likely to use sex suggestiveness jok to make others laugh, which is definitely detrimental to our mental health.

In stark contrast with the superficial enjoyment provided by humourous friends, people who are smart and sensible actually produce you merits in direct and meaningful way. By contacting with them who are believed to possess a large volume of knowledge , one’s horizons is more likely to be vastly expanded. For instance, a intelligent frind of mine once tell me that you should hold a comprehensive and reasonable attitude toward some hot issues causing worldwide concern, such as environmental problems. Not only the fact of status que of environment, but also politics, economic aspects should be taken into account when it comes to deal with environmental pollution. That is an open-minded opinion for me. consequently, this kind of thinking really help me to mould myself into a sensible and reasonable individual.

what’s more, under their positive influence, even one’s new meaning of life could be found. Setting these intelligent people who often are successful in their own researching fields as the life model of me, therefore, I would spare no efforts to pursue higher aim in my life, just like what they do in their life. Actually, it is under the encouragement from one intelligent friend who is studying abroad, I devote my time and energy to take TOEFL exam to make my dream of learning in foreign country come true.

In summary, as an old saying that we frequently judge people by the friends with whom they consort. Since, frinds are important to everyone, it is better for people to consort friend with intelligent ones than with humourous people.

文章中很多语法错误，以及一些想当然的翻译，都感觉是直接从中文的字面意思直接用英文写出来的，这样会造成评卷人的理解困难呢
还有内容上，我建议把第一段论述humorous的内容放到文章的最后，在讲完intelligent people后，作为一种让步提一下，毕竟文章的主要着重点在intelligent嘛
