So many problems need the governments to solve everyday; it is hard to reach any absolute point that whether solving the immediate problems of today or the anticipated ones in the future. Thus, it is necessary to us to reach the balance point of that. Government can not overlook the significance of the problems in the future.

Undoubtedly, we could not have future if we do not solving the currently problems. It seems like a man to prevent the illness he would have in the future but ignore the tumor he has now. Doing like that man is unwise; to solve the urgent problem is the most significant job of governments. SARS, for example, if governments at that time thought the future problems, such as the prevention of floods or the exploration in the universe, are more important but not the controlling of the expand of the disease, may be human beings are already extinct. To have a future, it is important to the government to solve the problems of nowadays.

However, government can not belittle the importance of the anticipated problems of the future. Environment problem, which is the most attention problems today, decided human's future. It is far from sensible if we just to solve the problems of today but ignore to protect the environment. As we all know, today’s whimsical weather is the 'gift' that the nature back to us for our long time invasion. London is an appropriate example to support this, in despite of the environment the government of London only focus the strength on develop the industry, it became the 'foggy' capital inevitable. Recognizing the serious of that, governments of many countries put forward the concept of 'sustainable development' which means to aware the significance of the anticipated problems of the future.


Governments' duty is to reach a balanced point when solving the problems. As the old saying goes, 'one generation plants the trees in whose shade another generation rests, one sows and another reaps'. It is indispensible for governments to solving the problems of the future. Why should we wait until the future problems becomes the ones of present? Sustainable development is far more important than just development of today. Forests, for instance, the amount of which is drastically decline today, to avoid our offspring living without a single tree, government should plant trees while cut them and limit the amount of cutting trees strictly.

All in all, due to the above mentioned words, it is unwise to the government to let the current problems alone or neglect the importance of the future development. Government should solve the urgent problems of today while consider the sustainable development and use the spare effort to deal with the problems of the future.
