Nowadays, thinking creatively has become more and more important at work. Some people even come up with the idea that being creative, rather than careful panning, plays a vital role in finding the best solution.While others oppose it by stating that careful planning is the base of creative thinking, thus it is more improtant in making the best solution. According to my own experience,. I agree with the latter. My arguments are listed as follows.

First and foremost, the so called "best solution" points to the most practical solution rather than the most creative solution most times. No matter how creative a solution is, it will be of no value if it can not be put into practice.Thus it is the term "practical" characterize the best solution to a problem. To solve a problem, one must fully understand the problem first. And it is through careful planning that one summarize the information about a problem.To reach the most pratical solution criteron, one must learn about the conditions and possible outcomes of the possible solutions fully. And only through careful planning can one manage those information.And based on those information, one will be able to come up with the most practicle solution to a problem.

Second. even being creative is based on the careful planning. Creative thinking is a brand new way of organizing the information
but creative thinking itself can not provide information. And adequate information is the base of all the solution, especially in the Information Age. Take my friend Jerry for example. He is known as the most creative student in our school and the papers he writes is often marked high by professors for the creative thinking. We all envied him so much that we asked him about how to come up with those creative thesis eagerly. He was a bit embarrassed and told us he did not think that those papers were creative.He mentioned that actually he just added some of the knowledge of his minor major into those thesis and sometimes he even added some phychology studys he acquired from his reading to support his arguments.Maybe professors just appreciate those various angles and think it creative compared with other papers mainly focus on our major.

Creative thinking sometimes may provide us with plausible solutions. All the scientific achievements are made thanks to those creative minds.But to see those achievements deeper, we will find that it is careful planning that lie behind those creative minds. Though careful planning and thousand times of trail and error, Eddison finally finds the right material for bulb.
