Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Younger school children (ages five to ten) should be required to study art and music in addition to math, science, history and language.


Young school children are now burdened with lots of tasks, therefore some would say, don’t make school a misery by adding more curriculum in the name of “for your own good”, kids can learn that kind of thing later on, however, I seriously reckon that, in an early age children should be required to study art and music in addition to math , science, history and language.
For one thing ,children in an early age have better 悟性 than they grow old
. So that, children learn music and art in
an early age will certainly receive a better results no matter what way art or music will benefit them in . 音乐大师们 all learned music since 5 or 6 years old, such as Mozart and Beethoven. What I mean is not to train them all into professionals in the art field ,but to give them the best chance to take advantage () of art .
For another, art and music can help kids developing a healthier attitudes towards almost anything and a better personality that kids can bear with them whole life time. Researchers have found that children learning music generally tend to be more patient and sociable than the children who don’t learn music. even from daily experiences can people deduce that differences . for instance ,my 7 years old sister used to be a naughty girl ,no patient for everything lasts more than 10 minutes ,my aunt really thought she is a headache .however , after learning for 1year of piano ,she can concentrate on one thing for much longer time than she can did before .though the complex function of art can not be explained in a sentence ,it is testified all over the world.
Last, after the math and science classes, a music band activity or painting club can sufficiently relax the kids’ brain . the relaxation can effectively improve the memorizing ability and the imaging ability.
In a word , learning art and music can provide us with various advantages and possibilities that we even haven’t aware of ,plus, it is pleasant activity rather than a nerve-breaking or pains-taking task , so younger children certainly should be required to study one or two of this sort of subjects.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Students should not take part-time jobs while they are studying in universities.

Part-time job，a word full of uncertainties. It is said it means experience and practical knowledge beyond the “ivory tower” which has been criticized for its useless arrogance and lack of practical appliance , but according to what I observed, it only means time-consuming and energy-wasting, if there is some experience accumulated, they must have took big toll.

For one thing, students nowadays are deprived of a great deal of time which should be spent on reading and volunteer activity , so part-time job really shouldn’t set its foot in. a medical student doesn’t need to go for a part-time job in a hospital to see how important it is to save people’s life, but if she or he doesn’t has a consciousness for humanity , he might become a cold and impatient “dactorobot” , which can often be seen in big hospitals. And where does the consciousness for humanity comes from ?  books and pure student activity .many of the successful academic or business role models in our time all admit that books help them developed a better personality,  a deeper and stronger faith.

In addition, students learned little when they come back from work. The limited time have the boss set you in small programs rather than real work.. if the toll turn out to be larger than what you can get , what is the point of working. For instance, one of my friend spend the whole summer in a law office only acquired the skill of using the copy machine ,the lawyers there wont even let him any analyzing work. The skill of using the copy machine is ,nevertheless, a skill ,but why too much trouble where an intense new-hand training would do?

In conclusion, part-time job is not as effective as it is thought to be , the illusion of get the job and your career will be smooth is broken now. the quite environment, the peaceful mind will never come back when you realize that you are in a deficiency of humanistic spirit and a lack of knowledge. Don’t be upset if somebody around you tell you about the recommendation letter their boss write them, you are going to beat them in the long run, with only a little temporary loss that can be make up soon.
