Through a person's whole life, s/he will meet with many difficulties that are either tough or easy. With the different degree of that challenge is, people could achieve different mood after conquering it. If they obtain the success of the difficult work, people will possess a sense of pride, which lead to happy. The extent of such happy is definitely intenser than that gained from finishing an easy work.
The first reason why I hold that opinion is that completing a challenging work means self-breakthrough, which can be explained as the fact that you can do something that couldn't do before. When you choose to face the huge trouble, you've already owned the highest rank of courage; when you achieve the successful end of the huge trouble, you've fully exercised your ability to the highest point. Let's take Paganini, one of the best talented violinists all over the world, as an example. One day, he accidentally found out the extreme charm of guitar, so he decided to start learning it from scratch. At that time, he had been the famous musician known and admired by a great number of people. That decision was really adventurous in that if Paganini failed, he would be mocked. However, he didn't fear about that possible result. Over four years living in a quiet suburb, he finally mastered the skill of playing a guitar and composed numbers of guitar songs. Paganini finished his difficult work so that the present "he" surpassed the old "he", from which he felt happiness. Whereas if Paganini avoided learning guitar and chose to accept easy work, such as only appreciating the fun of guitar, he wouldn't have achieved that brilliant accomplishment.
Besides self-breakthrough, finishing a more challenging work could bring you confidence on account of trying your best to defeat the difficulty by completely using intelligence and various knowledge. When you are in trouble, you have to move heaven and earth to get rid of it. Then you might feel extremely tired, but after you are successful and turn to look at the problem you struggled with, you would smile and be like "it's not a big deal" thing. This process boost your confidence. I myself have such experience. Since I had been enrolled in the school, I was bad at mathematics and always got D on my examination papers. So I decided to conquer this obstacle. Nearly every method that could improve grade I have tried; nearly every person who was good at mathematics I have learnt from. Eventually, I got the highest grade in my school in a mid-term examination. This success totally wiped my idea out that I'm not good at maths and will never be good at it. I learnt that I can make it if I persevere with it. Even now, I still remember the ecstasy when I received my maths test paper and heard from my teacher that I was NO. 1. By contrast, finishing an easy work doesn't need so much knowledge and intelligence. You don't pay much effort into it, so you won't feel great happy when you gain it.! t- M, E* h# b4 K( X
To sum up, completing a challenging work could provide people with more happiness that completing an easy one. Because during the process of conquering, we devote ourselves, obtain confidence, and make self-breakthrough.
感觉楼主写的蛮好的了,论证和例子比较充分,语言也很流畅,第一段,如果在说完了challenging work 的好,能像第二段一样,多一点反证easy work的不好,就更好了。个人意见了~~呵呵 |
