Lots of scientific discoveries which were thought to be great breakthroughs in human history have proved harmful to our world. People have now found out that science is a double-edged weapon（比喻很形象） that brings both benefits and damages. We could not simply blame the scientists who made the discovery, since in most cases, they are not（应该改为don’t） deliberately withhold information about the potential negative effects. It is those who hastily put the new scientific advance（是否用题目中的discoveries比较好？） into practice without carefully scrutiny（scrutiny为名词，so应该改为careful scrutiny） on the comparative harms and benefits that 加should to be blamed, that those may include the scientists, as well as every ordinary people.
Since the scientists have more profound knowledge about the field they are expert in, and understand the principle of the new discoveries much better than ordinary people, people automatically to expect(改为expect that) the words of the scientist are always right. People tend not to consider whether there are potential harmful effects. But in fact, some negative effects may be too unobvious that (改为so unobvious that)the scientist cannot identify them at the beginning. The invention of plastic bags used to be referred to as one of the most wonderful invention in the 20th century, for it brought significance(改为significant) convenience to people's daily life. However, these bags, un.. in nature, has（改为have） caused huge damage to the environment since they pollute the soil in which they are buried, as well as the water source nearby. The inventor said in his late 70s that he regretted for having invented plastic bags. But in my opinion, it is not his fault for making the discovery, and it is unfair for him to be responsible for the pollution. After all, it is impossible for him to find out the damage at the time of his research.（几个it开头的句子写得很不错，但是三个it开头的句子连在一起就给人缺乏变化的感觉。。。能够变化一下句式？）

The more controversial cases may be the invention of some life-taking weapons. The invention of atom bomb, for example, which was made by scientists in order to put an end to the Second World War, claimed（？） the lives of millions of innocent people. It is still under hot debate whether the explosion of the two bombs brought bigger benefit by preventing more people around the world dying from the fierce battle, or bigger damage by killing all the living things in the two Japanese cities.（很漂亮的句子！不错~） The scientist may be simply hoping to find a way to end the war, but they are also very aware of the fact that this would bring disaster in the cities that are attracted. In this sense, they, as well as the directors of the ally, are partially responsible for the damage the bombs caused. （原子弹的 例子我也有用到，但是觉得你写的比我有深度，分析的更深入，借鉴！~）
In conclusion, whether scientist should be responsible for the negative effect of their discoveries should be（去掉should be句子更顺） depend on the particular situation on each case. If they are aware of the negative effect, they should responsible to some extent. But it would be unfair to blame scientists for something they have no control on, such as the potential damage that they are unaware of when making the discoveries, or there will be no breakthroughs in the future because all the scientist will not making research due to the risks of being blamed for potential negative effects.

有一些小的语法错误要尽量避免，而且发现你喜欢用it开头的句子，这个很好，但是用很多就感觉重复和雷同了~~可多用一些其他类型的句子扩充自己的句式变化~
