People nowadays are not satisfied with merely acquiring one skill, and we begin to learn more than before. I think it is true that people who have different skills are more likely to attain achivements than the one who focus on only one skill.
First of all, people who have learned different skills can combine different fields more easily, which gives them more opportunity to attain success. On one hand, Some times we may occasionally combined different things together and make a result. Newton is a typical example; we all know the way he found gravity in the beginning is a coincidence. However we cannot ignore that this coincidence was found on the fundament that he had learned both mathematics and physics. These two sides help him to kick off the first ball to science, and thus he made an amount of discoveries in later years.
At(On)the other hand, it is more frequently that we combine things intentionally. For example, YuanLongping, who was known as the “father of hybrid”. Before the breakthrough he made, he had already learned both agriculture and biology. That is, he combined these two fields together, and successfully produced hybrid, which achieved triple production per unit area as compared with the world average standard. This milestone largely solved world’s food crisis. Consequently, to learn different skills promotes us to make a combination and discovery.
Even though people who have different skills
failed(fail) to combine these different things, they still gain the ability to understand other or new fields more easily. As is known to us all, we always better figure out the things which we have previously learned. That is to say, when we have learned something, we can make a rapid response the next time we meet them. What’s more, because we
(不确定加不加have)learned more, our abilities of learning also become better gradually. Thus, when we meet a new problem or need to learn another field, we can comprehend these things faster than others. In this case, to learn different skills does help us not only combine things together but also teach us the ability of learning.
All in all, to learn different skills is helpful. We can combine things together, and at the same time, we gained the ability to learn new things. Thus we are more likely to succeed.
