8月13日20100516NA Do you agree or disagree: Improving school is the most important factor for developing of a country.

China has been developing rapidly in many fields recently since the reform and opening-up. Some people suggest that we should give less attach to the importance of education and pay more attention and put more money on other fields that can improve citizens’ living level directly. However, i think education ought to be regarded as an important one whatever the society has been grown.

Look back through the history of the world so that we could see the importance of education clearly.In any period of history,it always plays a big role on the stage. In Tang and Song dynasty,because of the policy of test which was used to choose talents,only people who were well educated could get good job in goverment. So many people devoted themselves to their study in order to make good progress and earn more money. As a result,Tang and Song became the most prosperous epoch of Chinenes history. At that time, Chinese goverment and the leaders has realized the importance of education and carried out excellent policies so that China could get well developed. In 1840,the western countries opened the gate of old China by violence. They have been already very rich and powerful because of the first Industrial Revolution. But the goverment of Qing dynasty carried out a horrible policy seclusion to pretent nationals from getting modern infromation and education. So most people were silly had no idea what was going on abroad until the foreign army broke in. If the education could get improved at that time,the tragedy of China wasn’t meant to be happened.

In the other hand,excellent education systerm can bring out a brighter future for a whole nation awesomely. Take Japan as an example, in the 17th centry Japan is a small country without well developed economy and rich natural resources. But it has changed wonderfully since the Meiji Reformation. The Japanese leaders attached importance of education and took in the advantages of the western countries’ education systerm during the great reformation. And then Japan soon became a powerful country with excellent talents and science technoligy. The same thing has happened to China. In 1978,Deng Xiaoping renewed the College Entrance Examination and claimed that the science and technology is the primary productive force in the next year. Soon the chinese goverment carried out a policy that is a strategy of invigorating the country through science, technology and education and then Chinese schools got themselves a great reform. Nowadays China has benefited a lot from it and the improved education do lead a better life to chinese nationals.

From thoses facts that show how important education and schools mean to the development of country,we can clearly see that education does play a major part on the stage of history. And the answer to the question that asks about whether education is the most significant factor for developing of a country is absolutely yes.
