The modern society is now promoted and facilitated by scientific researches. They are essential for development and have brought many advances in technology, even they themselves have no practical use. However, scientific researches usually need a large injection of funds and equipment. Therefore, in my opinion, the government should support scientific researches, even there is(可以去掉) no practical use in them.
(今天看作文修改十三篇,建议不要用in my opinion之类的,“我是建议最好不用cannot, must, should这类的词汇的,其实这些概念都是可以用别的东西替换的,这里可以说:It is not a good decision to”)
Scientific researches which do not have practical use generally provide theoretical bases for those which have. Take Paul Krugman as an example, he spent several decades on the project of micro expression(不知道这是什么) and even committed researches in Africa. At that time, many people doubted the utility of his research. However, it finally turned out that his research was very useful and now the CIA and FBI train their investigators with the results of Professor Krugman's research. (可以多论述一些)
The input of research funds is very critical in the scientific researches. Theoretical scientific researches, for example, theoretical chemistry and theoretical math(太多Theoretical), unlike those which have practical use such as communication technology, do not create direct benefits for the society. Therefore, it is very difficult for theoretical scientific researches to raise funds from enterprises or the public. However, due to their significance, they cannot be given up(需要进一步论述为什么很重要). Therefore(本段第二个Therefore, 可否改为Given such importance and embarrassment?), it is the government's (插入very强调一下) responsibility to offer sufficient funds to those universities or institutions who conduct(to conduct) the research programs.
Moreover, scientific researches which do not have practical use also determines the level of proficiency of one(such) country's scientific researches(例子似乎不能论证这句话). For instance, although the project of space exploring program has no direct practical use for (或许可以:has nothing to do with) people's daily life and therefore is criticized often because of its huge expanses, the project is very critical for the access to resources and future development of the country(需要进一步阐述原因). Hence, the large input is worthwhile.
In summary, the government should support scientific researches, even there is no practical use in them.
写的比我好很多(33分钟啊!),读着也很顺,如果把论述充实一下,多写几十个字(据说优秀文章基本都过400),应该非常好了。
谢谢修改我惨不忍睹的作文~~~ |
