The study of an academic discipline alters the way we perceive the world. After studying the discipline, we see the same world as before, but with different eyes.

学术学习影响我们背景知识,方法论,和思考习惯。然后在下面分三段分别说他们的影响。
限时的时候思路总是很局限,想不出什么东西,要是考试时的题目没想过的话,就死定了。

The speaker claims that the study of an academic discipline would alter the way we perceive the world, and then change our respective although the world remains unchanged. I tend to agree with this assertion, because our points of view are often based on certain background knowledge, observational methods and thinking habits, all of which could be influenced in the process of learning academic disciplines.

First of all, different academic disciplines would provide us different background knowledge which in turn gives us different perspectives even though the observational object is the same. The study of various academic disciplines could give us a broader standpoint. When we are evaluating the effect brought about by a factory, a person would praise its economic benefits because it has improved local standard of living and provided many work opportunities. So they may conclude that we should build more factors. But after he has learned some environmental disciplines, he or she would recognize the factory's disadvantages and be aware that if we do not put some restriction on it our community's air and water may be polluted tremendously, which lead to the change of his conclusion even though the factory remains the same. Moreover, the study of academic disciplines also gives us a higher standpoint. We may only focus on the world’s current and superficial status before the study of history. But from now on, we will perceive the world with a historical view. This means that we would not only investigate current problems and phenomena but also search their historical origin and predict their future development which is helpful for us to pursue their nature behind superficial status. With more abundant knowledge, our outlook of the world is more comprehensive and thorough.

In addition, the study of academic disciplines would also change our methodology which is also important to our observation. To establish these academic disciplines, scientists have developed numbers of scientific methods, including survey, experiment and logical deduction. Through learning these academic disciplines, not only are we able to gain some concrete knowledge, but also we are acquainted with these scientific methods. Then we would apply these methods in our observations consciously or unconsciously. Under the guidance of these methods, our observation is no longer a random and aimless behavior. Survey provides a systematic method to investigate general social phenomena or trends; experiments even allow us freedom to create observational objects; and logical deduction help us to organize discrete results derived from observation into a large image of the world which is more comprehensive and thorough than that we have gained before.

Finally, the study of academic disciplines would also pose some influence on our thinking habits. Academic disciplines are objective which use numerous natural phenomena or empirical examples to support themselves. So in our own observation, we would also tend to collect a number of evidence to support our perspective rather than hastily throw out results just from a single phenomenon, which may be our former habits.  Besides, academic disciplines are also critical. By learning these disciplines, we are aware that critical thinking is indispensable to form unique and thorough perspective. In another word, academic disciplines help cultivate our critical thinking. With this thinking habit, we would doubt some aspects of our world which we take for a grant before. The result is that we find more problems, our perspective becomes more comprehensive and thorough, and our world would seem to be very different.

In sum, the study of academic disciplines, especially various disciplines, would provide us concrete knowledge, scientific observational methods, and more object and critical thinking habits, which are essential to understand the world more comprehensively and thoroughly.
作文失败,只好申请MIT了,谁让它不要GRE呢?

The result is that we find more problems, our perspective becomes more comprehensive and thorough, and our world would seem to be very different.还是和上面一样,没有例证,这样子感觉说服力不够,而且感觉写到后来都和第二段body分不清了,方法和思维习惯分成这样两块来论述,我个人觉得不是很理想,看看你的意见?

总的说来,论述还是成为一个完整的体系,观点也分别展开了
虽然可能有点不够说服力(这个希望和你讨论一下,这样纯的说理到底可不可以?)
应该没有问题的,语言文字上你自己再把握一下
尤其是关键词不要出错哦

本来,打算考试后要吃这个那个, 现在没胃口
      要到这里那里,现在没兴趣

加一句,觉得第二段和第一段差不多?  感觉这两个内容都属于哲学之类的范畴, 层次感没例文那么强烈   不过,可能因为偶不太懂这些吧 >_<  偶分层次是哲学,文学,科学的  太烂了没贴

But after he has learned some environmental disciplines(after learning more knowledge about the environment), he or she would recognize the factory's disadvantages and be aware (be aware of )that if we do not put some restriction on it our community's air and water may be polluted tremendously, which lead to the change of his conclusion even though the factory remains the same. Moreover, the study of academic disciplines also gives us a higher standpoint. We may only focus on the world’s current and superficial status before the study of history. But from now on, we will perceive the world with a historical view. This means that we would not only investigate current problems and phenomena but also search their historical origin (origins) and predict their future development which is (would be) helpful for us to pursue their nature behind superficial status. With more abundant knowledge, our outlook of the world is more comprehensive and thorough. 最后一句话很好,我认为基本上谈的差不多了,不过,好像到考试的时间是不允许这样大段的讨论unpragmatic

In addition, the study of academic disciplines would also change our methodology which is also important to our observation. Through learning (studying) these academic disciplines, not only are we able to gain some concrete knowledge, but also we are acquainted with these scientific methods (through studying these academic disciplines, not only are we able to imbibe some in-depth knowledge, but also any observation and evaluation methods about these disciplines). Then we would apply these methods in our observations consciously or unconsciously (看不出来什么作用). Under the guidance of these methods, our observation is no longer a random and aimless behavior. Survey provides a systematic method to investigate general social phenomena or trends; experiments even allow us freedom to create observational objects (freedom to research for more broad and in-depth observational objects); and logical deduction help us to organize discrete results derived from observation into a large image of the world which is more comprehensive and thorough than that we have gained before.

(绕了一大圈,终于绕回到本段的topic sentense, 还是那句话,考试的时间能够这么做,难啊。 举个例子,for example, telescope help us to learn that the earth is not the centre of the universe; nowadays, any electric telescopes and man-made shuttles help us to explore outer space. In this place, we start to recognize that we may be not the only creature of the universe, and the earth may not be our origin and destiny.)


Finally, the study of academic disciplines would also pose some influence on our thinking habits. Academic disciplines are objective which use numerous natural phenomena or empirical examples (empirical examples is not objective) to support themselves. So in our own observation, we would also tend to collect a number of evidence to support our perspective rather than hastily throw out results just from a single phenomenon (+within our boundary of knowledge), which may be our former habits.  Besides, academic disciplines are also critical. By learning these disciplines, we are aware that critical thinking is indispensable to form unique and thorough perspective. In another word, academic disciplines help cultivate our critical thinking. With this thinking habit, we would doubt some aspects of our world which we take for a grant before. The result is that we find more problems, our perspective becomes more comprehensive and thorough, and our world would seem to be very different.

其实善于后面一句,世界还是原来的世界,可我们看到是用different eyes也可以是用例子的,要主说理很多。很累的啊。例如,对于历史的研究,历史人物与历史事件对于我们社会的意识也会发生变化。


In sum, the study of academic disciplines, especially various disciplines, would provide us concrete(不好吧,vivid and colorful) knowledge, scientific observational methods, and more object and critical thinking habits, which are essential to understand the world more comprehensively and thoroughly.

1、一个学术领域的研究改变我们认为世界的方法。例如,天文学,认识到我们的地球不是世界的中心;同时,我们甚至可以设想在其它的星球上生存。 通过对于医学的研究,我们面对疾病不再是束手无策。世界上我们的面前不再象古人那样perilous.

2、实际上,我们对于世界的看法是受不同学科知识的影响。各种interdiscipline可以帮助我们更深刻地认识我们这个世界。例如,space shuttle,它的上天是由各种各样的学科的联合作用下才能够取得长足的进步。

3。学校的研究,使我们改变我们原来认识世界的方法和习惯。例如望远镜等等。

多谢,我写时总想不出例子,很是郁闷,所以只好说废话了。
作文失败,只好申请MIT了,谁让它不要GRE呢?
