I concede that to make money is a chief task for the executives; nevertheless, there are other responsibilities for the executives to maintain.

First of all, to make money is a chief task for an executive. It is hard to imagine that one executive who can not make money for his/her company will maintain his/her position. Under the situation that each company is facing with the competitions come from all over world, to make the company survive is especially important and crucial. The executives must assure his/her company is profitable and could make as much money as possible, in order that to make the company maintains good condition, the staff not to lose their job. From this view, we can understand the position the executives stand.

Secondly, making money is not the only task for an executive. He/She must be responsible for the company's future. The long-term interests of the company are more important than the short-term's profit. The executives should think over about the company's future, sometimes it is even necessary to lose money to preserve the company's long-term interests. For example, a medicine company, discover that one of its products have some detrimental effects to human body, but the medicine has been produced and sold for many years, and if the information get to the newspaper, the company will suffer a lost of millions of dollars. However, in order to preserve the company's image and its responsibility to the society, the executive make an announcement about its production and really suffer the lost. In a short term, the executive make the company suffer a lost, but in a long period, he/she wins the company a good image, which will benefit the company in the future. To be a successful executive, one must have vision over the future of the company.

Thirdly, making money is not the only goal for the company too. The company should take its own responsibility for the society. For example, In the Southeast Asia ground sea, several countries were influenced, and tens of thousands people were injured. Under such situation, the company should take its responsibility to help those people to reconstruct their home, and help the society to regain order and calm. Actually, we are glad to see that many companies have done well, even though there is no money to make. And the executives should remember this responsibility while making money.

In sum, the executives should rule out all possible factors attribute to the company's interest, and notice the role which the companies or corporations plays in the society.
