87.In any field of inquiry, the beginner is more likely than the expert to make important discoveries.


I strongly disagree that the beginner, in any field, is more likely than the  
expert to make important discoveries. Chances are more likely to be caught up  
by prepared brain. Without enough knowledge and experience, beginners may miss
the chance of making important discoveries.

In the first place, in the field of science, making important discovery  
depends on a long process to accumulate knowledge and many aspects including  
accumulating stuff, experience and studying knowledge. There is none but the  
way to ensure the research following the correct orientation. But a beginner do not have these experience, even they have good ideas or inspirations, they can not hold it and demonstrate its correctness. Moreover, a beginner, usually, can not thing about questions thoroughly, and because they are easily impulsive and adamant, they, sometimes, just waste their time to devote on the resultless research. So many scientific researches needs experts who has more  
experience and knowledge.

In the second place, the beginner's advantage is that his way of thinking hasn't been confined by the knowledge of that field and they tend to have more enthusiasm while expert tends to think in a fixed way. This phenomena, especially, manifests on the field of arts. Because creating art works needs inspirations while the beginner have these aspects including fervor, devotion, self-confidence which can produce inspiration. Moreover, beginners have intense curiosity about the unknown and great courage to try new things, while experienced experts tend to be more conservative. So the beginner usually can  
create some excellent and novel works.

In the third place, beginners should work together with experts. When they have some new ideas, they should turn to experts to test the feasibility of the ideas. Because of having more inspirations and passions, beginners may produce some new ideas, at this time, they should take these new ideas to consult the experts for some suggestion and perspectives so that they can confirm the correctness of these ideas and decide whether have a further research. In addition, besides keeping their high passions and devotions, the beginner must not consider oneself always right but should study knowledge and skills with an open-minded attitude. They should discuss their thoughts with experts usually and get more information from the books and experts. This is only way to obtain success and achievement.

In sum, from what has been discussed above, we may draw the conclusion that in most fields of inquiry, in order to gain achievement, besides passion and  
inspiration a beginner need more experience and knowledge. Without these  
important aspects, a beginner can hardly achieve great success and become an  
outstanding experts.
