We live in a more and more complex society: new things emerge quickly; old views are explained from different perceptions. The society develops faster than ever before and accompanied with variety new disciplines that combine with one or two or even more disciplines, that is to say, no field of study is independent, there must have some interactions between different fields.

With the development of the society, every field of study needs to interact. In this world, it is possible that something new is emerging every minute and everything improves at a surprising speed. In order to catch up with the trend, every field today need to absorb the latest technologies, knowledge, equipment to make themselves more practical. What is more, as the need of society is diversity, people may use the knowledge of one discipline to explain different things, all these require studies of different fields communicate with outsider fields.

In the realm of history, studies interact with many kinds of disciplines such as chemistry, geography and astronomy and so on. In detail, the study of history usually needs to determine the date of a evidence in history  or an antique that has been excavated, the most common way of determine such things is to test the amount of carbon contained in these things through a chemical method. Further, researches need geography knowledge when research the ancient architecture, climates in history and their affections on society and economic, the former position of a palace and the place where the empire was buried.  In addition, the study of history even needs the knowledge of astronomy, it is accepted that our ancestors used the way of observing the place changes of stars to determine the regulations of peoples' activities such as when to sow the seeds, when to plough the field and the right time to harvest, by using the knowledge of astronomy, historians can obtain the standards of such regulations and the basis that our ancestors built on.

Another representative field is computer science. Many people say that it is an era of computers, it is correct to the extent that computers nearly combine every different field that there is less and less fields that work without a computer. For instance, shopkeepers need computer to work out accounts and arrange supplement of goods; athletes need computers to analyze their performances; writers need computers to write articles; companies need computers to set up a management information system. These examples are only a little part of the usage of computers but enough to make us understand the figure of computers science. It is obvious that the powerful functions of computers and the spread use of computer science cannot go further without the combination of different fields.

On the other hand, although every field needs to interact with outsiders, there are many other factor that also influent the development of this field. As advantages of a field demand all sorts of assistance, other fields' knowledge and experience is not enough, other factors are also needed as the input of funds, the quality of equipment, and the policies of the government. That is to say, there are many other situations that should be considered when discuss the elements that influent the progress of studies of different fields.

In sum, the combination and interaction among different fields is vital for the development of such studies, however, it is not the only element that can promote the study of different fields and there are many other elements that should be taken into account.
