I strongly agree with what the speaker said that you can find people's interests and attitudes, even a society's value by observing what people dress and what their look are. I will support this statement by the following.

In the first place, the way people look and dress firstly exposes their interests and attitude as an individual. Examples are abundant/ lavish/ affluent around us. People who are super fans of hip-hop, a new kind of dance which evolves plenty complex movements, will tend/ be inclined/ lean to wear long T-shirt; loose, long pants and a famous brand of sports shoes , all of which enable the hip-hop enthusiasts dance more freely. Another example is that if someone is crazy / passionate/ fanatical about a certain pop star, he/she will endeavor to imitate that popular figure’s behaviors, including the hairstyle, the way of speaking, facial expression which are all the shadow of that pop star. What is more, this fanatic fan will put his/her every effort to buy the clothing his/her idol ever worn, even if their cannot buy the authentic one, he/she at least will buy/ purchase the one counterfeiting that of the pop star/ (buy the duplicates). Take China as a particular example. Today in China, the South Korea pop stars enjoy a high level of reputation among the teenagers. Most of what the youths wear are coming from the South Korea, and what their hair styles look like are essentially mimicking their idols in South Korea; in addition, their necklaces, rings and earrings are the ones that once worn by the pop stars in a certain film or teleplay/ soap opera. Therefore, we can see obviously that the way people dress and look truly reflect their own attitudes and interests.

In the second place, not only people's looking and dressing disclose their attitudes and interests, but also reveals a society's ideas and values. Take the ancient China for example. During the anti-Japanese war, the whole society showed its respect to soldiers which led to people's clothes were service-dress. People at time tend/ were inclined/ were likely/ had a tendency to wear green hats with a red, five angle star which indicated their fidelity/ loyalism/ fealty towards to the Party. Furthermore, the society at that time was emphasizing collectivism and refusing about egoism. As a result, the whole citizens were dressed in the same style of clothes and pants, boys and girls singly had their hairstyles. After the opening policy took place in China, as following, great changes including people’s values are happening. The society becomes more tolerance and begins to emphasize the individuality. Consequently, people in China begin to dye their hairs, wearing different kinds of clothing and girls begin to make up themselves and boys begin to have hairstyles looking like their idols in the field of football----------they all eagerly to display their own characters.

To sum up, from what we discussed above, we can certainly come to the conclusion that what people look and dress and even behave all expose their own attitudes and interests, besides, a society's ideas and values are obviously reflected by its citizens' wearing.
