I agree with the claim that the destiny of our society is determined by the degree of socialization of our children today. In this assertion, the speaker means that to bring about a better society the way we raise our children is very important. Insofar as I can think, although there are some creative methods to teach the children how to adapt to the society, most of us still fail to find a appropriate way to raise them.
To begin with, the reason why future of our society lies in our children is that whether adapt to the society well or not is related to the stability and prosperity of the world tomorrow. Children, the masters of the future world, have the responsibility not only to reconstruct the material civilization of the society, but to revise the society's spiritual civilization such as advanced culture, ideology and ethics. If not raised in a healthy way, it could be imagined what the world will look like: full of wars, violence, crimes and conflicts. And there are some previews of our children in future world if no actions are taken. A student, studying in a university of Yunnan province of China, killed his four roommates by quite a violent means just because they used to laugh at him. Therefore, whether the society will progress or not in the near future is not question adults can answer but the children's job.

Still more, the children have no proper environment to develop them; in other words, the society and families today overlook the education of children or take it insignificantly. Nowadays most families, which have two bread winners because of lacking enough income to support the whole family, complain that there is no time left for them to take care of their children. Some of these children are sent to their grandparents while others stay at home to do whatever they want to do. Under such circumstance can children develop healthy and optimistic minds? Perhaps not. Not having enough time communicating with their parents, children may have some problems in their altitude to the society even if they are staying with their grandparents, which is proved by a recent study. What is more, increasing one-parent families caused by the high rate of divorce are even worse. Children grown in such families are lacking not only time to change minds with their parents but person they can talk with. Consequently, no children should be ignored by the parents who always have the excuse for themselves.

On the other hand, it is also a problem for the children who are taken too much care of. It is true that wealthy families, which have enough financial support, permit one parent stay at home to take care of the children, but their still have some problems. A statistic reveals that a over 50 percent of these families would like to send their children to some training classes to learn some skill, such as music, paintings, calligraphy and so on, at a very young age. Thus, these children have no chance to play with their mates as well as communicate with them, which will cause them introverts and fear of talking with strangers.

To sum up, a further step should be taken to provide a proper and healthy way to raise our children. No better society will be made until adults take it seriously for the reason that they are the masters of our future world.
