Most people recognize the benefits of individuality, but the fact is that personal economic success requires conformity.

Conformity has two meanings: one is compliancy and obedience or follow, another is collaboration or accord. Nowadays, many people concern the benefits of individuality, however, it is conformity that leads a person to achieve his/her economic success.

First of all, to access our personal economic success, we should obey the laws, moral standards and economic regulations. These are, in my point of view, the premise of us to accomplish the economic success and the condition to maintain or continue our success. For example, WorldCom, a famous telecommunication cooperation, was accused for their creative accounting several years ago. And soon, the market value of their stock dropped rapidly and went to bankrupt in the end. They president and relevant stuff were also considered as accounting fraud which committed the laws. Although they had achieved the economic success before, they did not follow the legislation and finally, lost all what they had possessed before. There is another example. In 1998, as we all know, in China, there has been a tremendous flood around the drainage areas of Chang River which we have never met before. The main cause is the deforestation. Someone needed lumber to make profit for themselves as a result they deforested the trees which is not permitted in both laws and morality.  They aimed to make success in their personal economy without any hesitation to destroy the nature ecosystem. At last, they were punished by laws but the fact that they aroused many people to lose their homes and lives. Thus, complying laws, morality and economic regulations is the base of reaching our economic success.

Furthermore, we need not only obedience but also collaboration in our process of succeeding in personal economy. Collaboration means combination of individuals into a collectivity---including intelligence, power, and innovation and so on.  This combination not only can make us more powerful but also make up for our mutual disadvantages which are the obstacles in our progress of success. Let's take Bill Gates as an example. Many people may consider it is his individuality that makes him success. I do not deny so, but in early times of his founding Microsoft Cooperation which is acknowledged to be one of the most influential figures in computer industry, his partner Paul Allen also played a vital role. They together made effort to develop the BASIC programming language for Altair which was regarded as the first PC and finally accomplished and founded the Microsoft. Therefore, now while we appreciate the Bill's economic success, we cannot ignore the contribution of Allen. It was the cooperation of these two brilliant people that result the today's Microsoft Cooperation.  Moreover, the well-known airplane, Boeing 747, is the accomplishment of many people from different countries. No one alone can design and manufacture such a huge plane. Hence, collaboration is another key point in our personal economic success.

Admittedly, the individuality as well as conformity cannot lack while we intend to make our economic success. If we always do as others do and follow others' pace, it is hard for us to make progress. Then, personal economic success is far away from us. Also we take Bill Gates as an example.  It is not his dropout from Harvard and devoted himself into developing programming language that he would not be the man who possesses the most fortune in the world. Moreover, if we intend to involve in an adventure investment, we should have our own foresight not always follow others' recommendation. Thereby, individuality cannot be negative in our personal economic success.

To sum up, despite of the individuality which was recognized by many people, it is the conformity that make one successful in personal economy. Because conformity to laws, moral standards and economic regulations is the essence of success and collaboration is another vital role in the process of pursuit of personal economic success.

这个conformity是满有争议的
我查MW显示只有一致符合的意思
带入合作时候有点牵强〉？
而且individuality这里应该是个性的意思，虽有个人之意
如同你的写法一样，两个都谈，会怎么批呢？
最好不要抽到这个sigh

我觉得，ets出题不会模棱两可
应该两者必取其一
如果是我 就理解成imitate的意思
合作的题库里似乎有题了
不过的确很难写

首先，像你说的，必须在遵纪守法的前提下，即conformity

但是经济投资要想获大的利润必须一个人冒风险

另外个人容易创新 得到大的利润
甚至垄断市场

还有其他可写吗？

conformity在北美范文里好象是理解成遵守，符合这样的意思
我觉得效仿似乎不太切题conformity应该和individuality对应，如果individulaity理解成个性，那么conformity可以理解成共性，和模仿还是有区别，题目讲的是个人经济成功，就是赚钱，应该可以往这方面靠，而不是模仿，另外新东方的书上是把conformity说成合作

我觉得这里conformity解释成服从理念上的共识之类是不是更合适呢？ standard , authority 例如食品开发要符合地区人们的口味等等而相对的individuality就是更注重标新立异，总觉得把法律之类的底线放在这里有些牵强，个人观点~~
