In this argument, the arguer who is the vice president of Nature's Way (NW), which is a chain of stores selling health food and other health-related products suggests that they should build a new store in Plainville, because the people there are highly concerned with leading healthy lives. To evident this suggestion, the arguer cites that: (1) the sales of the running shoes and exercise clothing are at all-time highs; (2) the local health club has been always full; (3) Plainville’s schoolchildren are required to participate in a 'fitness for life' program. All of them contain logical flaws; I will talk about them as follows.
    To begin with, the sales of the running shoes and exercise clothing are all-time highs do not indicate that these group are highly concerned with leading healthy lives. Perhaps, the citizens who live in this area are used to wear exercise clothing, or perhaps the exercise clothing shop usually carries out some activities for abstracting the customs, or perhaps the time when investigate is after the Olympics, all of citizen in this area buying exercise clothing in order to the Olympics.
    In addition, even the citizen in P buying exercise clothing are really because they are highly concerned with leading healthy lives, the arguer can not make me convince that they will buy their products. After all, concerning with leading healthy lives and buying healthy produces are different things. First of all, in order to make their body strong, they have many ways, they can do some exercise such as running, skating, or going to health club. They may be having no need to buy some healthy-related products. Secondly, even they want to buy healthy-related products, may be there is a better store in Plainville, which is more easily convinced by people who live in this area. Furthermore, the arguer does not provide the total number of attending this program and how long they will be participate in the program. Lacing of these evidence, the arguer cannot persuade me believe that the students who participate in the program will be a new generation of customers.
    Finally, the schoolchildren are required to participate in a program cannot emphasizes the benefits of regular exercise at an early age. Maybe they are forced to attend this program by their teacher in order to win some honor for their school. Or maybe the schoolchildren participate the program just because they are children, they cannot determine everything. After many years, these children will be old enough to decide which products is good to their healthy, their habits and interests may change. Besides, there is posibility that the children may be boring the formal habits and they will favor an unhealthy lifestyle.
    In sum, the arguer should provide more evidence to sustain his suggestion. If he want to convince me, he should provide the evidences such as: the total number of the people who really concern their products, the customs who are the weight training and aerobics classes are really interested in their product, and so on.
