The way people look, dress, and act reveals their attitudes and interests. You can tell much about a society's ideas and values by observing the appearance and behavior of its people.

The speaker unfairly asserts that the way people look, dress, and act reveals their attitudes and society`s values. In my opinion, in some respects the appearance and behavior of people actually reveals their attitudes and society`s values, however, in other respects, they are not.

In the first place, from the entirety of society, the way people look, dress, and act reveals their attitudes and society`s values. As we all know, society is composed of individual, and the valuable opinions of society will be expressed by those people. In another word, the total valuable opinions of individual reflect the trend of the valuable opinions of society.At the same time, we can recognize people`s attitudes through observing their appearance and behavior. For example, when we enter a college, we can judge whether this school`s students is industrious and whether the stuty`s style of that college is good through observing whether their student is studying hard in the library. We can gain that French is a romantical country through its people`s wonderful dressing. We can get that a person is introversive through his formal dress and hairstyle. Therefore, in some sense, we cannot rule out the possibility that what people look, dress, and act is accurate indicator of their attitudes and society`s values.

In the second place, from the variety of society, not all appearance and behavior of people actually reveals  society`s values. After all, every person has his/her own thought, behavior, and it is impossible that all people have same opinions on one thing and have similar actions on one purposal. That is the variety of society. Moreover, It is possible that people have a lot of ideas about their lives, works, while the main ideas of the society only have a few, sometimes even just singleness. For instance, the purpose of humen is to develop a thriving society though every person has his/her though. If all people`s appearances and behaviors delegate the society`s values, there will be many values in the society. Thus, people will not have common goal and the society will lose it initial propelling. Therefore, only part common  appearance and behavior of people actually reveals  society`s values.

Finally, due to the concealing of people, not all appearance and behavior of people actually reveals  their interests and attitudes. With the development of society, what people think somtimes is complex. In order to reach their purpose, they have to conceal what they think and what they want to do. For example, a thief will not render that he/she is a thief, so we cannot find thief until he/she steal our money. Therefore, in order to recognize  people`s interests and attitudes, we cannot depend on their temporary representation but combine their motive.

In conclusion, there are still several evidences to support foregoing point, unfortunately, I have no time to illustrate in detail. But what I discussed above should well demonstrate the claim that not all appearance and behavior of people actually reveals their attitudes and society`s values.
