（2）虽然能够满足人们的一些需要，可是它的坏处是远远大于好处的。这些都是没有事实根据的。对于个人来说，如果沉迷于此，就会失去了探索真理的兴趣，甚至会对别人造成伤害。对于社会来说，这些迷信的东西如果被某些政客利用，就会造成社会的不稳定，甚至引发激烈的政治斗争，这样广大的人们却被无辜的利用了。更危险的是如果被邪教利用会对社会造成很大的危害的，在2000年，世界上广为流传着的***的世界毁灭大预言，人们的恐惧心理使一些邪教得到了机会。在东京发生的邪教地铁毒气案使很多人受到了伤害

I agree with the speaker that some nonmainstream areas play a vital role in society because people need it. However, These areas has more disadvantage than their benefits. People should keep a cool brain to face the nonmainstream areas.


We have to admit that nonmainstream areas has the ability to satisfy people's spiritual requirement. In fact, many of us have the experience to have recourse to the nonmainstream areas. For example, when people fall in frustration with a bad mood, some of us may go to have a fortune-telling in order to comfort themselves. Because the result of fortune-telling will be some ambiguous telling, so when people get some good words which indicate they will have good luck they will fell happy again. the reason of augur's telling always efficacious is him ambiguous words. they tell not only the good words but also the bad words, so people's destiny always in his telling. After breaking off from their partner, some people will take a checking of their astrology. If their astrology indicate they are not suitable to each other, they will think it attribute to the destiny and feel less agony. When someone lose their relative, they would like to trust the preternatural exist such as soul and wish to meat each other in future life. So, nonmainstream areas do have some use, at least it can console people's heart.


Although nonmainstream areas can satisfy people's spiritual requirement, it has more disadvantage than its benefit. As to individual, if someone addict to fetish they will lose their ability of critical thinking and has little passion to explore the unknown world, even hurt others. Consider it in the view of society, it is dangerous to people if politician trust the fetish. There is a possibility that witch-hunting will happen because of the different world view politicians have. What is more dangerous, if evil religion make use of people's superstition, our society will be badly damaged. For example, in the year of 2000, the fortune-telling that the big disaster will come to the earth is popular in the world. People's scared mentality have made the chance which evil power would be increased. Tokyo subway's toxic gas event is the evidence, the toxic gas which made by the evil religion injured many people. Each coin has two sides,  we have to consider more about the bad fact of the fetish.


People should face to fact, the nonmainstream areas should not be encouraged. We have reasons to trust that along with the development of the science more and more dinkum oil will be discovered.
