There is a view indicating that people's attitudes are influenced more by their immediate situation or environment than by any internal characteristic. As far as I am concerned, the immediate situation and surrounding only affect the people’s attitude partly and it is (the)internal characteristic that determines people's attitudes.(很明显,决定比影响强,你更强调内部个性的作用。但是后面你用两段来写外部环境,只用一段写内部个性,和你的论点不太匹配啊。。。)
Our family, classmates and even(这个递进感觉没有必要) friends influence people's attitudes. In our everyday life, we live with our family. When we were young, we study(时态应该与were相同) speaking from our parents, playing with our brothers and sisters. When we enter(这句和上句并列,时态应统一) the primary school, the high school and subsequently university, we meet our classmates and then most of us had an experience that if someone in our class had anything fashionable, we all wanted to copy it: it may be a new style goods, new style of hair-cut and even fantasy in a idol. Thus, we all notice that though we do not intend to copy the fashion of the others, because of the primary humanity of mimicking our friends, we unconsciously notice and copy others behaviors even though other people are not likely to show them up in front of us.
In addition, our immediate environment influences people's attitudes. If a person lives in a filth environment, does he tend to be clean? Though there is no defined answer, we know in most of the situation, he may not. If we see the world, we can notice that the immediate situation influence the attitude of people. For example, people thought sacrifice with living people was rational in Middle America. In Maya, there was a rule that sacrificing the god with living people can bring benefit to their country. Though not far from them some of the tribes nearby do not believe in god and still had a good time, people in Maya believe that way of sacrificing is reasonable without thinking whether they should hold such brutal thing. We can see that because of the tremendous influence from the immediate environment people lost their own idea(他们并没有失去想法,那恰恰是他们的想法) and followed that rule although after carefully thinking of it they can feel that is illogical. In another word(In other words,) the nearby surrounding(s) can influence people's attitude heavily.
However, it is the internal characteristic that determines people's attitudes. People are not likely to copy their surrounding unconsciously. It is funny that if a person copies the way a nearby duck swim in. Though it is extreme, we all know that people do not unconsciously copy the immediate situation or surroundings. In contrast, people all have their own thinking about such as what they should do in such situation and why others are intend to do so. For example, when the whether(weather) is cold and it is time for dinner with the condition that no food ready except some unpalatable fast food, someone are likely to buy some outside and someone may be apt to find fast food at home. Even though the situation is similar, the former one may be unlikely to eat fast food while the latter are. Because of different internal characteristic, different people decide different though affected similarly. (那么是什么样性格的人会选择到外面吃,什么样的人会在家中将就着吃呢?我觉得这个假象的例子不是特别有代表性。)
In sum, the immediate situation and surrounding influence people seemingly. People tend to mimic their surrounding people and are influenced by their surrounding environment. Nonetheless, because of different internal characteristic, people behave different and consequently we can find that the internal characteristic determine the attitudes mainly.
。。呵呵。。。 |
