TOPIC: ISSUE220 - "The increase in knowledge is forcing people to specialize. As a result, the distance between fields of specialization has become so vast that specialists in different areas are rarely able to influence each other."

There is a thinking that because of the specializing in knowledge, the distance between specialists becomes larger and they can not influence each other. As far as I am concerned, this is not true since many new ways are born in order to solve it.

After analyzing the history, we can find that there is a trend that knowledge is increasingly becoming divided. In the ancient age, in order to battle with the wild world and work, such as dividing the farm and deciding when to plant, people learned to accumulate a large deal of knowledge. In this early period, because the amount of knowledge is very little, every individual could master them all easily. For example in the ancient Greek many philosophers could tell people not in the moral problem but also could notice them that which crop would be benefit. With the accumulation of knowledge, however, people surprisingly found that the amount of technology was so vast that they could not even master a part of them. Thus, people started to divide this knowledge into different parts and many specialists appear. If someone wanted to cure people, he could become a doctor. If someone wanted to build a house, he could become an architect. In the recent time this trend became serious. Let's take university for example. In the universities, there are many researchers studying different subjects. However, many mathematicians find that they could not solve the physical problem for the lack of accuracy and many physical scientists take pain of lacking sufficient math knowledge.

However, because many interdisciplinary subjects appear, specialists can influence each other easily. To solve the problems mentioned above, many specialists begin to learn different fields. For example, there is an inclination that biology and chemistry will be combined into a new subject or bio-chemistry. For a long time biologists found it is difficult to deal with the molecule problems. Consequently, some chemistry scientists take part in these researches and many of them dabble in two fields become bio-chemists. Since then the bio-chemists can deal with the problem in the molecule level. Because of this some chemistry scientists can study the bio-molecule chemistry and biologists tend to bring up new theories in the molecule level research direction. In this way both chemists and biologists influence each other. Despite the large distance between different subjects, since new science demand emerges many relative or non-relative scientists join in and they both study such field which can provide information to each other scientists.

In addition, since there are many generalists, specialists can influence each other under the leadership of these generalists. At almost the same time with the interdisciplinary fields, many people learn that they should not only study in a narrow field but to master a vast area. Bill Gates is famous for his computer and business knowledge. At first when Windows was original designed, he successfully united different scientists to a single field or the field of computer interface. For example, he let the programmers who once study architect of computer to design the good interface of computer. With the knowledge of computer, these programmers knew how to make the computer run fast despite a large mount of calculation of the interface’s building up while in the past scientists did not care and can hardly image how can such graphic interface can be created in such slow computers. Though these different fields were once considered to be very irreverent, that generalists make them combined and since then many scientists of computer begin to study the interface of PC.

In sum, we can conclude that the author fails to consider many other factors. Though with the development of technology much knowledge becomes divided, people know how to weaken this trend with many new ways appearing.

There is a thinking that because of the specializing of (in)knowledge, the distance between specialists becomes larger and they can not influence each other.

In this early age(很近的重复换个词怎么样?period?), because the amount of knowledge is very little, a single man (every individual)could master them all easily. For example in the ancient Greek many philosophers could tell people not in the moral problem but also could notice them that which crop would be benefit. With the development (accumulation)of knowledge, however, people surprisingly found that the amount of technology was so vast that they could not even master a part of them. Thus, people started to divide this knowledge into different part (parts)and many specialists appear. If someone wanted to cure people, he could become a doctor. If someone wanted to build a house, he could become an architect. In the recent time this trend became heavily(这个趋势更明显了,而不是严重了obvious如何?).

For example, there is a trend(第三次出现了inclination如何?) that biology and chemistry will be combined into a new subject or bio-chemistry. For a long time biologists found it is difficult to deal with the molecule problems. Consequently, some chemistry scientists take part in these researches and many of both of them (many of them dabble in two fields)become bio-chemists. Since then the bio-chemists can deal with the problem in the molecule level. Because of this some chemistry scientists can study the bio-molecule chemistry and biologists tend to bring up new theories in the molecule level research direction. In this way both chemists and biologists influence each other. Despite the large distance between different subjects, since new science demand emerges many relative or non-relative scientists join in and they both study such field which can provide material (提供材料?不太懂)to each other scientists.

In addition, since there are many generalists, specialists can influence other ones (each other)with the lead of (under the leadship of )these generalists. At almost the same time with the interdisciplinary fields are developing(with 是伴随状语表示伴随,一般后面不加进行时了,不然语义重复developed), many people learn that they should not only study in a narrow field but to master a vast area. Bill Gates is famous for his computer and business knowledge. At the early time (出现若干次了,去掉在后面加个小词吧,字数反正你也不在乎,你总是能写很多)when Windows was originally designed, he successfully united different scientists to a single field or the field of computer interface. For example, he let the programmers who once study architect of computer to design the good interface of computer. With the knowledge of computer, these programmers knew how to make the computer run fast despite a large mount of calculation of the interface’s building up while in the past scientists did not care and can hardly image how can such graphic interface can be created in such slowly (低级错误!slow 是形容词,slowly是副词了)computers. Though these different fields were once considered to be very distant(irrelevant), that generalists make them combined and since then many scientists of computer begin to study the interface of PC.

In sum, we can conclude that the author fails to consider many other factors(感觉象Arguement了). Though with the development of technology much knowledge becomes divided, people know how to weaken this trend with many new ways appearing.

There is a thinking that because of the specializing in knowledge, the distance between specialists becomes larger and they can not influence each other. As far as I am concerned, this is not true since many new ways are born in order to solve it.(第一段略显单薄,可以更丰满些)

If someone wanted to build a house, he could become an architect. In the recent time this trend became serious. Let's take university for example. In the universities, there are many researchers studying different subjects. However, many mathematicians find that they could not solve the physical problem for the lack of accuracy and many physical scientists take pain of lacking sufficient math knowledge.(感觉例子举得很泛,应该举个比较具体有说服性的例子)

However, because many interdisciplinary subjects appear, specialists can influence each other easily. To solve the problems mentioned above, many specialists begin to learn different fields(learn knowledge of different fields). Despite the large distance between different subjects, since new science demand emerges many relative or non-relative scientists join in and they both study such field which can provide information to each other scientists.(感觉句式还不是很丰富,可以多些分词和定语从句)

Though these different fields were once considered to be very irreverent, that generalists make them combined and since then many scientists of computer begin to study the interface of PC.(这段举的例子又不具体,建议去看一下例子集)

In sum, we can conclude that the author fails to consider many other factors. Though with the development of technology much knowledge becomes divided, people know how to weaken this trend with many new ways appearing.(结尾可以再多写一点)
