There is a discussion that which vehiclehas changed people’s lives. After taking all those candidates intoconsideration, I think automobiles have changed people's lives.

The automobiles have altered people's goal.For a long time before, the aim of people is quite different than that oftoday. To the landlords, the main goal of life is to have a great amount ofland in order to have a good life and to prevent the disaster. For thepeasants, they only want to be tied up to the land and have a safe life. Atpresent, however, almost everything changed. When a person see some other ownsa car, especially a expensive car, he may be shocked and to work hard to earnsufficient money. Thus, the aim of him is not to have a safe life but to show othersthat he have the ability to earn money to buy a good car, or even to showothers that he is successful. Thus the aim of people changed from having apeaceful live to having an achievement.

Moreover, automobiles make possible thatpeople live in a larger city than before. In the Middle Ages and later, thecity is relatively small. In the 1500s, Londonis crowed because the area of that city is rather small. The New York, just a while later, is 5 differentareas and it is only recently that these areas became one city. However, withthe increasing popularity of automobiles, people can afford to have arelatively distant trip. They can spend only an afternoon to go across a state.Consequently, the designers of the cities do not hesitate to design a largecity since the citizen will not complain that they can not go to work spaces intime or have to wake up early to go shopping. Because of this, the area ofcities is growing increasingly and many metropolises appeared.

However, automobiles change urban environmentin negative aspects. Because the number of automobiles is growing dramatically,the wasted gas is becoming a serious problem. Because the amount of the carbondioxide increased a lot the source of which is mainly the automobiles, the sealevel come up rapidly and many cities along with the sea face the hazard ofbeing inundated and then many countries gathered to find the solution of that.On the other hand, before the automobile becoming popular, though many factorystill produce carbon dioxide, the problem is not so serious.

In conclusion, the automobile affect manyaspects of people such as goal, the size of cities and environment, I thinkautomobiles have altered people's life.

I think the internship class I took at sophomore yearis the most interesting one.
First, in that class I could see how big machineswork.
I knew how the lathes are made of and what thefunctions of those ones are.
Second, I could operate these big machines.
I made small parts by myself and took them together tomake a new tool.
And then, I keep one as a gift for me.
That’s why that class is most interesting one.
