Someone prefer having others make decisions for them, while others prefer making decisions for themselves, what is your opinion? (2007.1.19)



Which one would you like, making decisions by yourselves or following others dictations? As for me, I prefer the latter.

The first reason lies in the facts that if there is someone else can make decisions for me, I can focus on the issue instead of that big headache of deciding. Take business management for example, supervisors assign jobs to labors, thus labors just need concentrate on his or her own assignment instead of wondering what he or she needs to do. This largely shortens the time of endless discussing and increases the efficiency. Moreover, for some people, who are always trapped in decision making, it will be great if others can choose for them. I was one of such person. It will be a boon if I just need to follow the instructions rather than endlessly weigh between loss and benefit.

A second important reason is that decisions made by others – professionals, elders, experienced people – can be more comprehensive and mature, especially to young. If one opens the magzine or turns on the TV, it is not difficult to notice that there are many consultant agents offering decision making services. They, abound with proficiency, are more likely to make the right decisions. Moreover, for young people, lack of sufficient social experience and maturity, are less likely to consider completely. Thus, following the instructions of elders or senior is a sensible choice for them.

There is an old saying in china” standers-by see more than gamesters”, which means the one who involved in are more likely to be purblind thus less likely to see the path clearly compared with outsiders. Thus, whenever facing making decisions, do ask advices from others.
