It is better for students at university or in college to choose difficult classes even if they cannot get top grades.（08.1.13）

An increasing number of universities and colleges provide their students all sorts of classes and encourage them to choose classes which they prefer. Accompany with those alternative classes , there is no consensus among people whether it is better for students to select the difficult classes or not . In fact , some students would like to have hard classes while others do not .From my point of view , it is reasonable to approve the claim that students in university or college should choose difficult classes even if they cannot gain outstanding grades .

First of all , we could get the capability of facing and solving the problems with no panic by choosing difficult classes. Take a friend of mine , who has no inspiration in sport and does not like any sports at all ,for example . As for university students , physical education is one necessary part of our circumstance and she must choose one PE class .Then playing volleyball became her final choice. In the first of beginning , she cannot even catch up with the pace of the teacher and other classmates . In terminal of that semester , she struggled to pass the examination after practicing again and again planned by herself since she knew practice makes perfect .

Some people may argue what if students who choose to have those class become less confidence in their academic learning. It is one thing that we do not avoid to acknowledge that the society would get rid of one person when he or she could have no enough bravery and perseverance in which he or she involves. So students should practice to be good at alleviate their frustration from the hard class and the difficult classes in university and college would be the first step for students to become those kind of people who are needed by society.

In addition , having hard classes help us make more friends around campus. For instance , this term I had selected one class—information retrieval which is hard to learn according to the others who have already chosen it. Though I did not got top grades finally, I made so many friends in different department by communicating with each other that we had a mutual interaction when discussing and solving the class troubles and questions. From that way , I know more about the term “teamwork ” and understand how to corporate with other people who hold the opposite idea against me. What's more, it is not unfortunate, for example, to turn to be a person who can appreciate the music though we may not be a marvelous pianist and got bad grades on it.

Therefore, it is so superficial for student to choose the class due to its simple or high grades. Choosing difficult classes bring us more benefits. With this faith , we will be able to grow up rapidly, face the barricades bravely and settle the problems calmly , knowing that we will success from those challenges full of opportunities one day.
