It is more important to use land for human need than to save land for endangered animals


As the increasing population on Earth, human occupy more and more land for residential buildings, business centers, schools, and hospitals and so on. It seems very important for people to take good advantage of land on Earth because by this means people gain much benefits such economic development, improvement of life quality. But if we human beings continue to use land without limitation, we may pay a heavy price because saving land for endangered animals is as important as, if no more than using land for human needs.

Many species bring much benefit for human. As the expansion of population and the rapidly development of technology, we human beings constantly extend activities into new fields on the Earth with advanced tools, which lead to many species are endangered or even extinct on our planet. Not until this time people realized the value of wild species. For example, a fairly familiar animal—pandas, now is endangered for lack habitat which have been destroyed by human. Pandas have important economic, medical, and even aesthetic values for human. Now in my country China pandas are national treasures which present for peace and friendship. If it extinct, it means a great lose for China as well as other nations. Many other species, some of which even have more significant values for human are endangered.
So it is time for human to be aware of the great significance to leave enough land for endangered animals.

Animals are a large part of ecosystem so they can influent the balance of the whole ecosystem on the Earth. Indisputably, human beings are a great part of the ecosystem as well. And what more important is we human depending on the balance of ecosystem. Animals and we human beings are both elements of the food chain. If human keep on exploring land greedy and force many animals into extinction, the food chain will be destroyed some day. At that time, human will encounter extinction as well for the unbalance of ecosystem. Human might be endangered for lack food, incurable disease, and shortage of certain resources which previously grained from those extinct species.
So leaving sufficient land for endangered animals is a mater of human’s existence and long lasting development—a matter no human being afford to ignore.

Looked from morals, it is also important for human to preserve enough land for engendered animals. Land can be used by all creatures on Earth. Human have no special right to monopolize the land on Earth. Equally, Animals have the same rights to use land.
It is unfair for animals that human overuse land and even destroy the habitat of some species such as pandas, many kinds of fish and birds. Therefore, our human beings should not be too selfish to over explore land on earth.

In conclusion, human should strike a balance between using land to meet human needs and protecting endangered animals because animals not only brings endless benefits to human but also have great influence on humans’ survival. So protecting endangered animals is also a long term program for human existence and its importance should never be ignored.
