It is more important to use land for human need than to save land for endangered animals.（08.3.15）

Nowadays , there is a phenomenon has caused wide public concern in many places of the world that weather it is more important to use land for human need than to save land for endangered animals. While i agree that human needs should primary to consideration , humans have a special responsibility to protect the land that endangered animals call home.

Animals adapt very slowly to sudden changes in their environment . many endangered animals cann only live in one place or a specific type of place. Humans , on the other hand , have a specific ability to adapt quickly to the change. For example , if people need to live in a very dry environment ,they can use technology to locate and drill for water ,or build pipelines to bring in water. Thousand of years ago ,the resident s of the XinJiang Province dug the underground tunnels to carry watter to the oasis town like Turpen. Because people are thus flexible while many animals are not , people should make an effort to use up all available space before encroching animals' habitat.

One of the important to protect  endangered animals is tha t  the delicate  ecological balance of an area might be irreparably harmed by the extinction. For instant, if humans chop down forest and use the land to grow corn ,they might simultaneously destroy the habitats of a kind of bird that eat locusts.The next year because the lucust population grow unchecked, they might destroy   all the  nearby corn crop.Not only birds lose their habitats but humans are also harmed.The ecological of many natural habitat is still not understood and human interfer in it at their peril.

Finally, humans have much to learn from endangered animals . One example in the field of medicine. By oberating a species of endangered monkeys in south america, scientists have discovery that monkeys eat a certain kind of plant when they get sick. Through  reaserch scientists discovered that this plant  also  has medicinal value for human . If the monkey's habitat had been destroyed  , would not only lose the monkeys and the plants , we would lose the life -saving medicine and the potential for medical research.


There are many other reasons that can account for why we should protact the land for enfangered animals ,but the obvious ones have been presented above.
