Many teachers assign homework to students every day. Do you think that daily homework is necessary for students? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.（07.1.13）



Since education became compulsory in Germany in 1730, our children have been receiving homework for several centuries, which contributed a lot to modern education. However, nowadays, many people assert that homework is unnecessary for our kids, because it has been becoming an increasingly heavy burden for them, which may give birth to the mental and physical illness. Does this allegation rational ? I am afraid not, personally, I deem homework as a crucial ingredient in the cycles of education, which plays a key role in the enhancement of learnt knowledge and multiplying interest on study.



In the first place, by doing homework, we students will have a better sense of what we have learnt in the classes, which might be a little abysmal to be understood, like physics. It is universally acknowledged that human beings need considerable amount of time to memorize knowledge that he has acquired, or they may forget it almost in the next second after he recited. Take English as an example, to us, English is a totally foreign language that required a lot of time and effort. Some rules and words are so complex that we can not master them only in a glimpse, thus we need extra time and energy to repeat what we have learnt in the day time in forms of homework, such as reading articles, listening to tapes, preparing presentation, etc, which will enable us to harness these naughty words and grammars. Consequently, we will gain a deeper perception on the classes we take, so it is the case in other disciplinary.



The second reason lies in the interest, which will be improved through the process of doing homework. As we all know, in order to finish our homework ,we have to check the resources that we can find, like textbooks, internet data base, encyclopedias, just to name a few. By reading and searching broadly, our curiosity to the unknown will be ultimately stimulated to the peak, which will in its turn add to our exploration to the unknown things. As Confucian said in his Analects:"To learn and at due times to repeat what one has learnt, is that not after all a pleasure?"


However, we have to aware of the phenomenon of overload, which means students are assigned too much homework that they can not afford it. In this occasion, the fun and profit bring by the homework are diminished for the weariness arise from the heavy load on the shoulders of students. Therefore, we should take health and relaxation of students into account.



Overall, I 'd like to advocate that appreciable amount of homework is beneficial to us as students, for it will not only enhance their acquired knowledge, but also reinforce their interest in study.

楼主，对于你的作文，在下觉得没什么能力改也觉得没什么好改。挺不错的，一些小小的语法错误要认真看才有的，所以就不说什么了，因为不是大影响。真的是一种享受，呵呵，继续努力。
但有一个不知道是优点还是缺点，就是整篇文章都是一些长句和插入语，让人觉得有一种浮华的感觉，可以适当长短句复合运用。
