Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People are busy doing different things that they can do few things well. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.(03/03/07)

I believe that people who are busy doing different things can do few things well.

Doing too many different things lead people not to concentrate on any thing, then people can do few things well. For instance, a mother is writing her promotion report which must be finished today as well as taking care of her children. Can she neglect the crying of her children when she is writing the report? Or can she get the important report out of her mind when she is taking care of the children? Both are important to her, she do not want to give up either one. So she is busy doing the two things, but it is difficult for her to focus on one thing and do it well. In addition, a survey reported that more and more teenagers today can not focus themselves on what they do because they are involved in many things at present, such as different competitions, on line chat and extracurricular activities. For holding a ball, he or she may think where to borrow the audio device on a class. This also proves that people who are busy doing different things can do few things well.

Furthermore, people have limited time and energy to do things. Twenty four hours a day is not changeable. People cannot do too many different things in a day. Otherwise, she or he can not have a good rest, which leads her or his to act with low efficiency, their health would also be influenced.

In a word, too many different things lead people not to concentrate on any thing, and people have limited time and energy to do things. So people who are busy doing different things can do few things well.
