Some movies are serious, designed to make the audience think. Other movies are designed primarily to amuse and entertain. Which type of movie do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer

Obviously,we live in a world where people endure more pressure of modern life but possess less cognition of conscious than ever before. With the advent of movies in last century, it has become one of the most powerful means of communication in the history through its wide availability, increasingly prosperous topics. As a result, it seems that people nowadays escape stress by enjoying movies that are designed to amuse and entertain or obtain more beauty of cognition by thinking movies that are serious.As to me, I will choose different movies depend on circumstances.

As we know, almost all best films in the oscars are emotional or critical. Take Slumdog Millionaire for example, this film arouse a heated disscussion in the society. It was not only raising the question of the equitable social system in India, but also tell the whole world that incessant pursuit can create a miracle. It is ceaseless spirit of pursuit and immortal love in the movie that deeply touched me and also encouraged everyone to exert themselves in any arduous condition. Another example such as Tears of the Sun have been proposed that is any war really to uphold justice or is it really worthy that an individual makes sacrifices to his country and at the same time ignores his own family or his personal values?This movie wakes up conscious of people.


On the other hand, other movies are designed primarily to amuse and entertain are also improtant to people in modern life. Not merely makes us laugh, relax and increase andiences the sense of humor as well. His/her lack of humor in current society hurts team spirit,and also irritates the people around him/her. Hence when I really live in a serious environment which is full of pressure in a period of time, I'll enjoy some ridiculous films to release  and have more energy to devote myself  to wroking.


As the reasons presented above, I prefer different films at differnt times, and I believe that we can benefit from various movies but not only one type of them.
