It is undeniable that events are happening all around the world, and some times they are unlikely to affect our everyday life. Then some people believe these events are important to know. Though they may possess some reasonable ideas to stand, I still stand the opposite since people living in modern world are so busy and there are always too much information out there to know.



At first, it is impossible for anyone of us to know all the things that spread in every corner of the world. As we know, with the development of Internet and computer technology, all sorts of information, including economic crisis, fire accidents, kidnapping, battles and wars, is easy to transport from the different spots to all places. It is a time of information explosion, as a matter of fact. And meanwhile, we, one of the creatures on earth, get merely twenty four hours a day. So, how can a person get all events that happening around or far from us to know?   



Additionally, By accompanied with huge amount of incidents happening anywhere anytime, people are mostly busy grasping related information. And all the information we really care about and even stick in mind are just those related to us. Take my mother as an example. My mother is a government officer and she is wrapped up in handling with lots of things to serve the residents of our city. Assuming that she places all the events happening around the world in importance, there would be certainly no time and energy for her to work. So it is at least unnecessary for people to consider all things, especially those unlikely to affect their daily life, as vital.


However, I do not mean that people should only take things into account, which just have close business with our own. Every single individual is not only a creature living alone but also a member of the family of our world. And we are supposed to get aware what kind of situation some other family members are in. Are they in lack of food and water? Are they suffering from cruel bloody battles? Are they urgently in need of our help?

Indeed, events are exploding up every minute in every place, and some are important for us to know, undoubtedly. But  generally speaking, it is unnecessary and impossible for people to regard all the things that are unlikely to make influence on daily life as essential to know.
