The twentieth century saw great change. In your opinion, what is one change that should be remembered about the twentieth century? Use specific reasons and details to explain your choice.

In the twentieth century, countless creations and inventions have changed the ways of people’s living enormously. In my opinion, the wide using of computers nowadays in everyday’s life is one of the great changes which should be remembered in that age. With the development of the science and the technology, computers play an increasing big role in people’ normal life, such as work、communication and entertainment.

First of all, the way of people’s work has been largely changed since the computer was invented. Computers make people work more efficiently. Compared to the age in which scientists do math problems on papers, with the help of the computers the problems which people have to spend several years to calculate would be solved in seconds today. Workers can manage documents with database which make find information more quickly. Another change is that work becomes easier and employers got rid of repeated boring things. For example, computers can make the complicated calculation procedures to be a formula. To get the results, you do not need to calculate it again, what you need to do is changing several numbers in the formula each time. Computers change the vital part of people’ life, work,uncontroverted.

Another influence the change made is the communication between human beings dramatically is changed. Virtual community is one place where people communicate on net. In that community, they can meet people all over the word in front of the screen. Also, many software was created to help people talk to each other ,such as email、msn、skyp. People can talk to each other at any time and any place in various ways. With the development of internet, messages spread more quickly and in larger range. This owns to the wide using of computers, too.

Computer’s wide using also change people’s entertainment. The youth play video games on computers. The older play chess online. Adults see movies in front of computer’s screen instead of going to the cinema. People have more choices of having fun.

Taking into all the above reasons, we may safely come to the conclusion that the wide using of computers affects all aspects of people’s life and the society deeply. Indisputable, the wide using of computers is one unforgettable change in twentieth century.
