In your opinion, what is the most important characteristic (for example, honesty, intelligence, a sense of humor) that a person can have to be successful in life? There's so many to say for achieving  success  in life.Frankly speaking,all of the excellent characteristics,such as honesty,intelligence,the sense of humor,optimistic are very important to let a person distinguish. The fact is that a person,without any one of the above characteristics,would probably failed at the way of pursuing success.And it is also a fact that a person who owns all the merits may not attain success for sure.Success depends on both the circumstance  and personal character.People may not be able to let the world run in their own way sometimes ,but they can perfect they own characteristic.Then,what's the most important characristic to obtain success in life?As far as I am concerned,it is the ambitiousness!

What's ambitousness? It is the strong desire for somebody to achieve or do somthing.In fact,without ambition,people may live happily and prosperously,but not successfully,because he or she totally doesn't desire success. Ambitiousness is the basis of person's success because  it provides two crucial elements which directly lead to success.The first is the purpose of a person's life.People with ambitiousness must have a purpose of life.And a purpose driven life must help people to provide a necessary focus and direction. Those people may probably know what tasks to perform in order to fulfill that purpose.So that they always focus on the most important things and do not waste their limited resources.totally speaking ,ambitiousness gives people a direction of success to follow and assures people always do the right things.

On the other hand,ambitiousness offers the strong desire which will always inspire people to look forward and never give up.To pursure success means people have to face numerous difficulties.With ambitiousness,people probably know they should deal with them instead of invading them.Several years ago,I was studying in a secondary college,majoring in management.I participated a competition about academic reserch by accident.After that,I know I'd love to do reserch all my life and I intend to be the best academician in the culture industry field.So I poured most of my energies in reading academic paper,discussing with my professor and attending international academic conference.Sometimes it is absolutely tough for me to spend nearly fourteen hours a day to concentrate on those papers.but I never give up because I know what I want.Actually,my ambitiousness drive me forward all the time!

Above all,ambitiousness provide life's purpose for people and keep them moving toward that purpose.So it may be safe for us to say that people probably should have an ambition if he or she desires a successful life.
