Should high school students have the rights to study the courses they want to learn? As far as I am concerned, they should have rights to choose the courses they like. After all, high school students are old enough to determine which subject they would like to learn. While, the youth’s freedom on choosing subjects should be guided and supervised by their teachers.

First of all, the permission of choosing subjects themselves do goods to their study and further development. For instant, the students may develop their interests through the courses they choose. Just like an old saying goes,” interesting is the best teacher”, these courses may help them choose their majors by interests cultivated in high school after they enter colleges. A boy who make wood plane in handicraft course may become an engineer in ten years. thus, teachers should fulfill their students’ desire of learning the courses they want.

Another advantage to allowing high school students study the courses that they want to study is that the student could broaden their views and have larger range of knowledge. For example, the juveniles can get in touch with various aspects of arts , science and technology. Compared with the students who just learn the courses selected by their teachers, they would know much more besides knowledge from the textbook. Furthermore, teenagers have different interests, thus they take different courses. The diversity of courses is good for the development of the students and the society.

The advantages is significant, but the youth’s freedom on choosing subjects should be guided and supervised by their teachers. To manage the world in the future, high school students should have abundant knowledge. As we all know, basic knowledge on science and art is essential to a students’ development. to be the future master of the world, the student should not only attend the classes to their interests, they should also meet the requires of fully developed. So, the teachers should help the teenagers choose the courses and arrange the studying timetable carefully.

Considering all the factors above, we may safely draw the conclusion that high schools should allow students to study the courses that students want to study. Although the teacher would spend more energy on helping the students balance their timetable, to the students’ fully development, it is worthwhile to do so.

如果满分是6分的话，这篇文章我给4分。优点在于结构清晰完整，语言易懂，富于变化，多数地方有过渡。但是仍然有一些小毛病存在，第一，作者应更加注意动词的数的问题；第二，第二条原因的第三点和第一条原因重合，第四段中有两句话语意比较重复；第三，论证不够有力，文章逻辑性不强。给人的感觉是你只是喜欢这种教学方式，但是并没有充分的理由。
