As digital technology developed, although videos are accurate and active, some plots in videos can be deleted or revised and distorted without notice by means of advanced technology, which nearly can not be found. Those revised absolutely can not be regarded as a kind of proof in law cases. Even videos have not been revised in the early time. However, it is hard to guarantee that it would be done later. Additionally, videos stored in computers or hard discs are quite vulnerable to lose in formatting, once it occurs, as nearly can not be recovered.

On the country, written records are not very easy to revise as a form of documentation, particularly handwriting.It is coming light that languages have spread for many centuries and will spread further because of having written records. Undoubtedly, history, culture and technology knowledge, all of the above are written by languages. If there are no written records, people can not learn languages, in return, if people can not learn the languages, they are even impossible to record history, write literacy, compose music, and so on. If in that case, people would be in original society for ever, let alone video camera.

Moreover, it is an obvious fact that written record is a basic and extensive form of documentation, which is used in various areas in order to record information for effective management, and is also independent and necessary in this era, when the information is explosive and in disorder. For example, in our daily life, most of files are written records such as contracts, certificates, identifications, receipts and bills. Due to videos just can reflect situations at certain time point, while written form can record many detailed information in long periods.
Quite often, video files documentations can not take the place of written records.

In conclusion, videos files and written records files are both the form of documentation, which can be applied in different areas. Videos files, for instance, are often used in film and TV industries, or used in monitoring system for security. However, videos records may do little in recording history literacy, language. We are apparently aware of the evident fact that video files are a kind of form of documentation, but less important than written records.
