原因：
如果全国的学生学习课程一样，那么学生就没有差异了。
全国所有地区的教育发展的程度是不一样的，same national curriculum，的标准是按照发达教育地区还是落后教育地区呢，这个很难定，也不利于教育的发展，因此，不同地区采用不同的curriculum，目的是适合那个地区的教育。

反对：

教育不可能完全满足个人的需求和兴趣，

教育的意义不旨在为了个人的需求和兴趣，很多时候，教育是社会需求的反映，社会需要什么，教育的的内容就会增加什么

部分赞成：
在学生学有余力的情况下，可以选择与自己field 有关的或是自己感兴趣的东西学习，这样可以起到锦上添花的作用。

如果质疑所有学习的东西，那么就意味着否定一切，因此，什么也不接受，
什么也学不到。
