ISSUE 13 "Many of the world's lesser-known languages are being lost as fewer and fewer people speak them. The governments of countries in which these languages are spoken should act to prevent such languages from becoming extinct."

Lesser-know language are gradually vanishing because of which are spoken by fewer and fewer people. It is can be predicted ,that one day in the future our offspring will never know this few of languages which are consisted by human intelligence and history. To our government, spending time, money, human resource, and forth on keeping Lesser-known language from extinction.

Language is base-stone in history of human being and vehicle of communication. It speeds up the progresses of human being and enhance people's improvement .Language is like a life book by which we can know where we stem from, what is process of improvement and our ancestor's environment. That is why lots of historians and linguists have preference on language. For example, Chinese is a case, that is few thousands year ago, Chinese’s ancestors abstract all of their stuff in living environment into language. So every language contains abundant value of history, culture and humanity, the lesser-know language as well.

However, on the other side, is it effective, that government takes measures in preventing languages from extinction .I don not think so. Because, government’s power is limited, which always only enact a new law or spend much more money on language protection. According to history, whatever any big events which has world wide influences are not only acted by government. What is more,to that countries which don not have the problems of language-losing or which be in poor without enough finical aids, do not they need not to prevent languages from becoming extinction?definitely not. I assume that preventing language-losing is as same as environment protection which is world job and every people must take actions for making environment better. From the point, the work of lesser-language’s protection is largely overweight government's capacity.

Also, except language dieing out, there are many other problems we have to face, such as starvation, war, and condition of medical and education. If we consider such problems above, it seems correct that government pay attention on problems of starvation, war, and forth instead of counterchecking less spoken language fading away. In addition, usually for the political profit government like to figure out something civilization are more concerned ,such as enhancing social welfare, promoting educational level ,and so on, But not the protection of lesser-know language. Moreover, lots people believe lesser-know language's losing is one of phenomena of world amalgamation. For the future Global Village, there will be only one kind of language to be spoken at that time, the function of communication of language is more essential than language itself. So, we should not be neverous about few languages’s extinction.

All in all, the lesser-known languages which are being lost are meaningful to human being's history and are valuable maturial for science research. Nevertheless, the economic and political drawbacks of language outweigh the benefits of preserving a dying languages .In the end, government should pay few time or money on language extinction .Some other more essential thing are needed to be done.
