Human being’s recognize course to the world is based on observation, which contains two steps in my opinion, receiving information firstly, and then dealing with the information and draw a conclusion. The first step could be and should be objective; meanwhile, it is impossible to separate subjective consciousness from the second step. Thus, all of the observations are composed by both objective and subjective factors.

Without receiving the information about object of study and environment in which it exists, human being’s observations will become illusion. Human being’s brain is high active in man’s dream, which includes colorful scenes. Yet, no one will consider dreams as observations for they are based on just human brain’s unconscious behaviors. Even if the illusion composes deliberated by authors, such as the lord of rings, cannot be figured as observations also. No matter what a person’s conclusion of observation is, human being’s observation must begin with the information of objects of it. From this perspective, there is no absolutely subjective observation.

The aim of observation is to abstract a hypothesis’ from objective phenomenon. Without people’s subjective initiative, observations will become mechanical records. Thus, such observations lose their true meanings. Computers and apparatus can help people to receive and arrange information from outside environment; yet just human being’s subjective conscious is the most significant part to transact information and draw a conclusion. For instance, in the automatic control experiment, computers get information from the sensors, then software could be used to gather the data and plot it, however the conclusion of the experiment cannot drew by the computers, not to mention the improvement plan to existing control methods based on the results of experiment. Just the observations involved people’s analysis makes sense for us. From this angle along, there is no absolutely objective observation.

For researchers, the more close to the truth the information that gained by people in the first step of observation is, the better for the second step of observing, which contains analysis of the information. But, there always are lots of irresistible factors restrict the objectiveness of the first step. In the area of natural sciences, before the tools for measurement are invested, sense of human being is the one and only for us to get information. Ineluctably, human being’s subjective feeling would influence the information a lot, which might lead to wrong conclusion. Then, to get specific statistics, various measurement tools have been invited. Though error in measurement cannot be eliminated completely no matter what tools are used, result of which precision is permitted in different research could be considered as objective information. In some areas of social sciences, the final object of observation cannot be departed from human being’s subjective conscious. For example, to avoid the study object, human being’s psychological phenomenon being adulated by subjective factors, psychologist often extracts information from some indirect observation objects, such as human being’s behaviors and paintings or literary composes. To pursue validity of result, people need do as more as possible to improve the objectiveness of information gained.

To sum up, as a part of process to reorganize the world, observation is a course which begins with objective information that human get from environment, involves analysis and dealing with the information then drawing a conclusion. Thus, observations should be considered as a combination of objective information and human subjective conscious.
