From the speaker's point of view, the biggest benefit of studying history is to break down the illusion: people in one period of time are much different from people lived at any other time in history. Undoubtedly, history is very useful and indispensable. In my opinion, during human development, people not only keep down many tradition culture and habitude, but also make a great change and progress gradually. History brings us a lot of advantages; people could understand the past and predict the future more precisely through studying history.

On one hand, history likes a careful and critically collective course which is interpreting the past. From studying history, we could know that there are so much same things between the past and today, for example, in our daily life, our language, traditional culture and theories of study, many of them are come down from our ancestors. In our spirit and mind, we also share the same hoping of discovery the future and the unknown world.


On the other hand, it is true that with the evolution and progression of human, people in modern society have a great difference with historic people no matter from our thoughts, behavior and culture. Lots of examples could demonstrate it, such as it has not an integrated educational system in the past as today, it has not aircrafts which could help historical people hovel in the universal space, and it has not gene technique which could bring abundant food. And, if we think about this deeply, we could find our today's different life may come from our ancestor's direct. Since they always leave their offspring some expectation for future, people will make some of hoping coming true with their creation. In the end, after changing several thousand years we have a great difference with historical people.


Finally, the benefits of studying history are not just telling us we have the difference and the same places with the historical people, it also displays us where and which points we could imitate and caution. So history likes our mirror, from it we could know where human and the world come from; understand the relationship between individual and the society and find individual identify. We all know that everyone's life is limited so that no one can experience the whole human history. So if we trace back and study the history, we could find every subject has a past and could be analyzed and interpret in the history perspective and context. Then, some questions and curiosities could have better answers.

Above all, studying history truly give people a large number of benefits. Through learning it, we cannot purely conclude we are all the same with past people or totally different with them, we could study the differences in order to understand more about the past and hold on the positive traditions.
