In this argument, the arguer concludes that the hypothesis that secondary infections may keep some patients from healing quickly after severe muscle strain have proved by a study. And the arguer also claim that all patients who are diagnosed with muscle strain would be well advised to take antibiotics as part of their treatment. To substantiate this claim, the arguer provides a study about two groups of patients. The first group of patients who are all being treated with took antibiotics regularly throughout their treatment for muscle injuries by the specialized in sports medicine doctor Dr. Newland. Their recuperation time was, on average, 40 percent quicker than typically expected. The second group of patients who are all being treated by general physician doctor Dr. Alton, during the process the patients given sugar pills although the patients believe they were taking antibiotics and their average recuperation time was not significantly reduced. At first glance, the argument might be somehow reasonable, but close scrutiny reveal that this argument is unconvincing.

In the first place, the fact that the recuperation time of the first group of patients who take antibiotics regularly throughout their treatment for muscle injuries was, on average, 40 percent quicker than typically expected dose not support the claim that all patients who are diagnosed with muscle strain would be well advised to take antibiotics as part of their treatment. Maybe, the muscle injuries of the first group patients are slight and their qualities of physical is much better than average people then it is normal they get well quickly. Without ruling out such possibility, I can not accept the arguer's point.

In the second place, the arguer provides no evidence about the condition of muscle injuries of all the patients which is important to assess the arguer's conclusion that all patients who are diagnosed with muscle strain would be well advised to take antibiotics as part of their treatment. As we all know muscle injuries is not complete equal to muscle strain and the muscle injuries not always lead to secondary infections. It is absolutely possible few of the all patients are secondary infections. For the matter, this point is unconvincing.

In the third place, the fact that the two different doctor treat the patients have different the result is insufficient to conclude that all patients who are diagnosed with muscle strain would be well advised to take antibiotics as part of their treatment. The doctor who treats the first group patient is specialized in sports medicine while the doctor who treats the second group patient is general physician. Therefore, there is likelihood that their treatment and the level of the doctor technique the doctors are discriminating. As a consequence, the argument cuts no ice.

To sum up, the arguer's conclusion about all patients who are diagnosed with muscle strain would be well advised to take antibiotics as part of their treatment is not well supported as it stands. To bolster it, the arguer must provide more powerful evidence what mentioned above.
