"There are two types of laws: just and unjust. Every individual in a society has a responsibility to obey just laws and, even more importantly, to disobey and resist unjust laws."

Law plays a significant role in modern society on protecting people and keeping the society in an organized way. Therefore, it is really necessary for every one in the society to obey the law and behave their responsibilities and rights. However, some people may argue that there are both just laws and unjust laws, and we should try our best to disobey and resist unjust laws. Although it is the truth that unjust laws do exist, I can hardly agree with that. One of the most important reasons is that it is too hard to distinguish unjust laws from just ones.

First, with limited knowledge or consciousness, people may not be able to tell just laws from unjust ones. Looking through the history, it is not hard to notice that most, if not all, former laws are defined unjust by people many generations or even centuries later. The reason why people on that generation do not consider it unjust is not because they do not want to, but they are not able to. The best example is the law controlled by the Roman papacy, which indicates that people who claim anything that is against papacy's words will be set to death. Because of the law, a large number of scientists who have found the truth were sentenced to death. However, at that time, almost nobody showed pity or mercy on them, and even gathered together to observe his death. This is not because those people are not kind, but because they do not consider the laws are unjust and the papacy is wrong. Without good sense and ability to tell unjust laws from just ones, people can never intend to obey just ones and disobey unjust ones.

Second, different people will have different opinions on the same law, based on their different background. If a law is beneficial for someone, they will definitely consider it a just one; on the contrary, people whose benefits are harmed by the law will think it completely wrong. For example, even though we now consider the law that allows slavery to be a totally unjust law, it was welcomed by all the slave-owners. In their opinion, this is such a just and wonderful law that they, and the whole society, should firmly obey it. All the laws will unavoidably harm some people's rights to protect the most people. If everyone is encouraged to disobey unjust laws based on their standpoint, much more conflict and fighting will show up.

Finally, most laws are just kind of regulations, which are neither to be defined just nor unjust. For example, in China, males and females are forbidden to be married before 22 and 20 years old respectively. In US, people are not allowed to drink alcohol before 21 years old. It seems really difficult to define them to be just or unjust. In such cases, encouragement of disobeying unjust laws may lead to total neglect of regulations and cause the society in a huge mess. People may drink and get married whenever they want, and if they are caught or blamed, they will argue with confidence that those laws are unjust and should not be obeyed. If such theory spreads through the whole society, we may find more and more worse crimes happening, and people will all use unjust laws as their excuses. Finally, even worse, people may not have sense of guilt or shame on what crimes they have done. It will be so terrible and horrible to live in such an circumstance.

Law plays a significant role in modern society on protecting people and keeping the society in an organized way. Therefore, it is really necessary for every one(everyone) in the society to obey the law and behave (这个用法是用的不恰当还是我没有见过啊?)their responsibilities and rights.
Looking through the history, it is not hard to notice that most(我觉得这个词用的太绝对了一点,也不是多数的公正的法律后来都被认为是不公正的), if not all, former laws are defined unjust by people many generations or even centuries (我觉得这两个时间差不多的)later. The reason why people on that generation do not consider it unjust is not because they do not want to, but they are not able to. The best example is the law controlled by the Roman papacy, which indicates that people who claim anything that is(is 应该删掉) against papacy's words will be set to death. However, at that time, almost nobody showed pity or mercy onfor?) them, and even gathered together to observe his(their) death.
For example, even though we now consider the law that allows slavery to be a totally unjust law, it was welcomed by all the slave-owners. In their opinion, this is such a just and wonderful law that they, and the whole society, should firmly obey it
. All(这个词也太绝对了,也不是所有的法律都是为了大多数人的利益而牺牲少部分人的利益,比如说遗产继承法啥的不损害任何人的利益啊) the laws will unavoidably harm some people's rights to protect the most people. If everyone is encouraged to disobey unjust laws based on their standpoint, much more conflict and fighting will show up.
Finally, most laws are just kind of regulations, which are neither to be defined just nor unjust. 我觉得语言很通顺了,意思也表达的很清楚
就是我觉得第二段写有时候我们自己没有能力辨别哪些法律是正当的,哪些法律是不正当的,觉得这个段有点孤立,没有支持或说明什么论点。如果加一点
To disobey and resist unjust law, we need first to discern whether a law is just or not. However, with limited knowledge and consciousness…….

"The way people look, dress, and act reveals their attitudes and interests. You can tell much about a society's ideas and values by observing the appearance and behavior of its people."

First impression plays a significant role in deciding whether two persons will have more contact later or become friends. Usually, we get the first impression of somebody we meet for the first time by observing the person's appearance and the way he/she acts. Despite occasional mistakes, the amounts of information we get in this way are enough to tell the person's attitudes or interests, which directly decides whether we like the person or not. Moreover, I fully agree that the overall appearance and behavior of people in a society can tell us much about the society's values and ideas.

First, people's clothes and behavior reflect their attitudes to other people or things. Usually, if people are fond of someone or exciting about some activities, such as picnic or trip, they tend to wear some leisure clothes with bright color, for example, red, yellow. If they really care about something or are even a little nervous on something, for example a job interview, they will usually choose cool colors, such as white or black, to keep themselves calm and show professional by wearing suits or ties. Similarly, if people like someone, they will surely get every opportunity to look at or talk to him/her. If people hate something, they may crinkle their brows when talking about this and keep blaming the thing to others. Therefore, people's behavior and appearance can tell us a lot whether they appreciate or hate somebody or something.

Second, people's interests or hobbies can be reflected by their clothes and behavior. This is partly because people would like to share their interest with others. A friend of mine is a huge fan of Michael Jackson, and he really likes to wear a T-shirt with Michael's image on it in spare time. Usually, when we are getting together, most of his words are about Michael and his music, and he often gives Michael's classic dance for entertainment. Even people do not know him before can tell that he has a strong interest in Michael Jackson's music and dance. Also, people's hobbies naturally make their appearance and behavior unique. This is especially true for people who love sports, whose skins are usually darker than others. Also, they wear sport clothes more than others, for example, tennis skirts, or sport hats.

Finally, the common appearance and behavior of people in a society will give us further information about the society's values or ideas. In a society work and labor are most appreciated, for example, Japan, what people usually wear is professional clothes, and most people are walking really quickly to go to work in the morning. In the evening when people are out of work, they are used to going to enjoy some wine, which shows their huge stress from work. On the contrary, in a society people evaluate peaceful and relax life more, we may see that most people may wear leisure clothes, and enjoy some tea at noon. Therefore, if we want to get a primary understanding of a person or a society, it will be really helpful to watch their appearance and behavior.

First, people's clothes and behavior reflect their attitudes to other people or things. Usually, if people are fond of someone or exciting(excited) about some activities, such as picnic or trip(复数形式), they tend to wear some leisure clothes with bright color, for example, red, yellow. If they really care about something or are even a little nervous on something, for example a job interview, they will usually choose cool colors, such as white or black, to keep themselves calm and show(look 是想用看起来的意思么) professional by wearing suits or ties. Similarly, if people like someone, they will surely get every opportunity to look at or talk to him/her. If people hate something, they may crinkle their brows when talking about this and keep blaming the thing to others. Therefore, people's behavior and appearance can tell us a lot(加一个concering) whether they appreciate or hate(太重 改为dislike) somebody or something.

Second, people's interests or hobbies can be reflected by their clothes and behavior. This is partly because people would like to share their interest with others. A friend of mine is a huge fan of Michael Jackson, and he really likes to wear a T-shirt with Michael's image on it in spare time. Usually, when we are getting together, most of his words are about Michael and his music, and he often gives(performs?) Michael's classic dance for entertainment. Even people (who)do not know him before can tell that he has a strong(great) interest in Michael Jackson's music and dance. Also, people's hobbies naturally make their appearance and behavior unique. This is especially true for people who love sports, whose skins are usually darker than others. Also, they wear sport clothes more than others, for example, tennis skirts, or sport hats.

"The way people look, dress, and act reveals their attitudes and interests. You can tell much about a society's ideas and values by observing the appearance and behavior of its people."

Common sense tells that first impression plays a significant role in the later development of relationship. Usually, we get the first impression of people we meet for the first time by observing their appearance and the way they act. Despite occasional mistakes, the amounts of information we get in this way are sufficient enough to tell people's attitudes or interests, which directly decides whether we can get along well with them later. Moreover, I fully agree that the overall appearance and behavior of people in a society can tell us much about the society's values and ideas.

First, people's clothes and behavior reflect their attitudes to other people or things. Usually, when people are fond of someone or exciting about some activities, such as picnic or trip, they tend to wear some leisure clothes with bright color, for example, red, yellow. When they are taking something or some events serious, for example a job interview, they will usually choose cold colors, such as dark blue or black, to keep calm and show professionalism by wearing suits and ties. Similarly, if people like someone, they will surely take every chance to get in touch with him/her.

A friend of mine is a frenetic fan of Michael Jackson, and he really likes to wear a T-shirt with Michael's image on it in spare time.

In the evening when people are out of work, they are used to going to enjoy some wine, which can relieve their huge stress from work. On the other hand, in another religion where people cherish peaceful and relax life more such as europo, more people wear leisure clothes and enjoy some tea at noon. Therefore, if we want to get a primary understanding of a person or a society, it will be really helpful to watch their appearance and behavior.

"Too much emphasis is placed on role models. Instead of copying others, people should learn to think and act independently and thus make the choices that are best for them."

The speaker asserts that people should not always copy role models that have been emphasized too much in current society. While models' experiences and choices are indeed beneficial for keeping people from repeating their own mistakes and providing additional ways people may not at all think about before, my standpoint is that people should pay more attention to learning to think and act independently and make their own decisions, in light of the diversity and difference between people, and because creation usually is derived from independent thinking and action.

The main reason why people should think and act independently and make their own decisions is that the internal and external factors may be totally different for role models and normal people. Thus, direct copying may lead to completely different results. For one thing, internal elements, for example, characteristics, interests and gifts, which may largely determine the efficiency and consequence of things we do, and also affect the efforts we may make, are variable among people. Based on interest and gift for Kongfu, Jackey Chen can keep training for 18 hours a day during his early years and do every single dangerous action in his fabulous movies all by himself; on the contrary, it will be a disaster and dangerous gamble of life for someone who is not at all a fan of Kongfu and has difficulty in action harmony to do the same thing. However, if he/she gives in copying Jackey's model of life,  seriously think about his/her own interest and talent, and insist his own way of living, there may be one more successful pianist, pop singer, writer, or banker.

Further more, external elements also play essential role in deciding which is better for us, copying the thoughts and behaviors of model people who may live in totally different circumstance and time, or make our own choices what kind of life we want to live and what things we are eager to do, depending on our actual living conditions and environment. As an Chinese saying goes, bad times make heroes, the difficult time in China, during which the nation was attacked and people were killed and suffered from hunger and poverty, made Xun Lu an amazing writer and further a national hero. Just because he experienced the hard time, he saw millions of people killed, he felt the weakness and fright of Chinese people then, his anger, strength and willingness to heal the nation has been evoked. That is also why he was able to create so many fabulous and encouraging articles, which might never be written by a person living in current peaceful time and enjoying a comfortable life. Hence, if one insisted to follow Xun Lu's article style and contents, he/she would destined to fail. In such case, only by thinking and acting independently can people create new and amazing ideas and things that perfectly fit modern time and their own lives.

Another reason why copying of role model should not be encouraged is that the improvement of society requires creative thinking and behavior. Annotation is the soul of a nation. Given the assumption that everyone is copying former people's idea and action, how creative thoughts, inventions and investigations can be made? If Edison copied our ancestors' view and behavior, always took it for granted to light a candle at night, now we might still live in darkness. By the same token, Hong Kong would never politically belong to China if Xiaoping Deng followed former successful politician's idea that a nation can only have one political policy. Taken all above into account, although role models provide us with precious references, only independent thinking and action can guide people to make best choices and lead to florescence of society.
